Even more of a reason for why I've stopped hooking up and want a steady boyfriend.

even thought it's safer to use condoms, but it feels really nice to go bare

inb4 people use this to justify their hatred of homos-xuals.

We already know it WILL happen, not much we can do besides ignore the ignorance, I guess

Getting tested and using condoms is extremely important, but something doesn't seem right to me about shaming people who end up diagnosed with HIV. Even progressive people will stigmatize gays with information like this but the takeaway isn't who's to blame but rather how can we prevent incidents like this in the future.

I feel you. But that should only be done for a monogomous relationship. It doesn't work when your hooking up. You can't sacrifice your health for a few second of enhanced pleasure.

I agree with that statement sooo much. That's why I haven't hookup with anyone since January.

But on topic (I'm not trying to advertise anything), but there are some medication that people can take to prevent HIV (if they are constantly engage in unprotected s-x).

Yeah, WHO actually was advocating for some gay men to actually take prophylactic antiretroviral agents to control the spreading of HIV. I actually agree with them and with you.

How awful. I wonder what the reason is? And what we can do to change these statistics.

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

I think there needs to be more education out there. There is this notion that now because there are medications that are effective in living with HIV for years, it makes it not a big deal to get HIV. Yes, there is effective medication out there but HIV is still a big deal!! There is resistance, and these d--gs also come with side effects. We need to educated the gay/bis-xual youth.
