This report was made as a response to the conclusion that HIV prevention campaigns across the globe still didn't help to diminish HIV infections of gay men, since the number of infections rises everywhere each year. I'm sure that the organisation has a lot more to say about s-xual health on all levels, but you can't deny that gay men have a huge chance of getting infected with HIV compared to straight people. thatfoxyfeeling 13,401 Posted July 16, 2014 Share Posted July 16, 2014 I had to research HIV and educate myself because the school I attended didn't provide a good education about s-x we literally learned about how a child is conceived and how to put a condom on a banana, it's 2014 and children need to be educated about s-x at a younger age so they can understand their s-xuality and protect themselves from STDs. The risk for people 18-30 is very very very low. You almost need to sleep with a 40+ old man to get it and he needs to be part of the 0,2%. And it happened A LOT. The only way to be sure (in s-xual behaviours) is always using the preservative to protect yourself. There aren't any other options for now. If your partner starts to cheat, then it's no longer a monogamous relationship. I get your point, but obviously they are saying that if you are only having s-x with one person who is also negative, then clearly you're at less risk to contract the virus. Plus, protecting yourself doesn't mean you can be absolutely sure you will not contract the virus as there is always still a small chance of contracting it (condoms can break, etc). It's the best option, for sure, but it's not foolproof either unfortunately. Also, am I right in understanding that you think if a cure for cancer is found it would be covered up?
