Bear 7,515
I thought you couldnt recover from Ebola ? I'm pretty sure you can recover from it just like any other virus related disease, just like how you can get over the flu without any special treatment Although I'm sure all the special treatment and serums used certainly helped! Crayon 21
I think the doctor was treated with something that was super experimental.

There was a really high profile case of Ebola here in Scotland a coupla years ago, im pretty sure a man came back from holiday with it and when i was reading about it, it basically said when you catch it thats it for you  The man died shortly after it. i think thats why people are so scared of this having an outbreak. But i dunno, if this man was cured then maybe there is a way. "GGD IS NOT FOR YOU" - Admin

That's awful! :( There is definitely a chance to recover and get better (a chance which is greatly increased with good medical care)-it's just unfortunately not that high :( . Fatality rates of Ebola range from 50% - 90%, so I hope they come up with a new way to fight this.

Thanks for the info sweetie :) I mean im glad that there is a chance you can survive but a fatality rate of 50% to 90% is absolutely terrifying to me "GGD IS NOT FOR YOU" - Admin

Princess Die 1,864
The irony here, is that the very people who looted the clinic will be lying next to the ebola patients they attacked in about a week or so  I don't know whether to laugh or cry That's the spirit. :kara: Nod if you wanna make love with the enemy. †
Dodo 313
 Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital quarantined the patient after they came back from West Africa exhibiting some symptoms of Ebola. (Radio-Canada)The hospital issued a statement on Saturday morning saying that it had quarantined the patient as a precaution, although they believe the chances of the person actually having Ebola are quite slim.Dr. Karl Weiss, chief of the hospitalĂ¹ùâÂŹĂąâÂąs infectious diseases department, said the patientĂ¹ùâÂŹĂąâÂąs tests are being run through a lab in Winnipeg. He said the results would be announced as soon as they are returned to Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.  Read more: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/possible-ebola-patient-quarantined-at-maisonneuve-rosemont-hospital-1.2744915  From all places in the world, WHY MY CITY :nooo:
