I thought you couldnt recover from Ebola ?

I'm pretty sure you can recover from it just like any other virus related disease, just like how you can get over the flu without any special treatment  Although I'm sure all the special treatment and serums used certainly helped!

There was a really high profile case of Ebola here in Scotland a coupla years ago, im pretty sure a man came back from holiday with it and when i was reading about it, it basically said when you catch it thats it for you  The man died shortly after it. i think thats why people are so scared of this having an outbreak. But i dunno, if this man was cured then maybe there is a way.

That's awful!  :(  There is definitely a chance to recover and get better (a chance which is greatly increased with good medical care)-it's just unfortunately not that high :( . Fatality rates of Ebola range from 50% - 90%, so I hope they come up with a new way to fight this.

Thanks for the info sweetie :) I mean im glad that there is a chance you can survive but a fatality rate of 50% to 90% is absolutely terrifying to me  :ohno:

Me too  :ohno: I just hope that it can be contained and stop spreading. The experts predict it won't reach the western world, they better be right  :grr:

I've heard a doctor say there are different strains of the virus, some more virulent than others,  that's why the chances range from 50% to 90%.

Princess Die

The irony here, is that the very people who looted the clinic will be lying next to the ebola patients they attacked in about a week or so

I don't know whether to laugh or cry  :toofunny:
