Dayman 6,251
It's not spreading through Air, Water, and food YET ! It's a Virus, it can easily mute ! The more people are infected, the more chances it has to mute. But of course, there is no government to say that because everybody would become paranoid and they need people working everyday :) every virus has the potential to mutate - it's not very likely. HIV has the same chance of Ebola going airborne. It's not likely that it will mutate in such a way.
Mast 980
It begins. Your point? Ebola has been in the U.S. for a while now, and it's because of the influx of people coming from West Africa. Unlike West Africa, however, the U.S. has hospitals practically everywhere and can quarantine any one at any second.

Unlike West Africa, however, the U.S. has hospitals practically everywhere and can quarantine any one at any second. It seems like more Ebola is happening in the US than has ever happened before. And while the US government keeps saying they know how to handle it, we do keep seeing it. And now one of the nurses caring for one of the patients has also contracted it. In addition we keep hearing about mistakes in the ways in which these situations were handled by the government. So I'm saying that every time we hear there is absolutely no risk, we also hear about more cases, and more problems handling it. I'm not spending my life worried about it but it's not as if it isn't getting worse! 💚💛💕❣⭕💢💢 | ⓜⓔⓡⓡⓨ ©ⓗⓡⓘⓢⓣⓜⓐⓢ

But you also have to keep in mind we're hearing more and more about it because reporters are actually actively trying to find news on the subject. Either way, human error exists everywhere, and the U.S. has never seen the disease this close before, so of course people will handle it erroneously. Goosey 3,017
It's already spreading here And apparently the Spanish are utterly incompetent because it's spreading IN THEIR HOSPITALS. I said it months ago: close the borders. Don't let these people in. Don't let anyone in! "I am the world's greatest person that does not want to let people into the country."—US President Donald J. I've literally canceled all my partys and im debating not going to a halloween party cause of it.. I'm scared to go out shopping and everything -_- There are no cases reported in the UK. It's no threat to the general population. Don't cancel your plans and don't panic. This disease has only transmitted to people who have come in contact with Ebola patients. There was one, a charity worker who came home from west africa before the US even had any reported cases but has been treated/cured but you're right he shouldn't stress

uo111 5,282
Even viruses would take quite a long time to mutate so extremely. It's not like, it mutates once and boom it's a super deadly airborne virus. And if they did mutate this way, the response would be much more extreme. The reason people are allowed to travel into and out of the area is because, by and large, Ebola isn't very dangerous. The only reason it's spreading at all is because it's in Africa. Morphine Prince 109,683
Some families affected by Ebola in Liberia pay bribes to keep the bodies: http://news.yahoo.com/ebola-families-bodies-bribes-153423993.html MESS! These poor people are too ignorant to understand that the dead bodies can infect them and the officials still accept the money. This world is sick!
