It deserved the criticism it got, extremely underwhelming album for Gaga. If any Gaga album is deemed underrated then it is Born This Way. Unfortunately people couldn't look past the preachiness of the album and formed negative opinions on that basis instead of judging it solely for its music. I really don't even think BTW is underrated. Many fans may believe so, but IMO it isn't. It's always the same people complaining about the same thing. It's 2014, not 2010 anymore and its not just about ARTPOP but Gaga the artist. Accept it or move on. I don't mean accepting everything she does, I mean if you continue to be displeased by everything she does. The fact that it was released after one of the greatest albums in the history of pop music makes it underappreciated, perhaps, 'cause let's face it, it WAS a downgrade. ARTPOP is packed with hits, nobody can deny this! Most of the songs on ARTPOP are radiofriendly and are pretty catchy and I don't understand why some people don't seem to like it! The quality of this record is really good, the vocals, the lyrics, the production and the melodies are outstanding! The album also has an amazing theme and concept, Gaga has delivered some stunning performances in which Gaga has proven the live-qualities of ARTPOP! So why do you think this perfect record is so underrated? I've got three singles that can deny their "hit" ability.
