Hedi 3
The VERY VERY VERY beginning of The Fame's era. BTW era she revealed her personality more but she was still controlled in her image in interviews to not be perceived a certain way. In ARTPOP there were times where she was truly herself eg. the Howard Stern interview... let go... just saying what she feels - compare that to the Howard Stern interview of 2011; she is more controlled - ... then she went from interviews like that in the ARTPOP era.. to interviews like The Culture Show where has put on a persona. Hello Mr. Radio 45
The Fame was the only time where she didn't act so preachy and pretentious.
EricBud13 0
TFM. Gaga seemed more connected to the audience during the album and tour and really focused on informing and interacting with the audience and the listeners

RodeckDanny 2,450
I think the concept of evolution is part of herself, so I can not answer this. Listen to my debut pop single 'Want You Bad'! (link on Insta)
Sabertooth 2
Or. Gaga is always fake like most pop stars. She just bull****s to get whatever she wants. What a farcry eh lol
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Not ARTPOP winning when she said she was depressed the whole era and never comfortable with herself, it should be last
Guest
She said during the ARTPOP era that in the BORN THIS WAY cycle she felt very insecure so she put a lot of makeup on and hid behind her costumes but she had to stand for her fans but anyways she felt insecure. Now she seems honestly happier and more personal and real. This

FameHookah 4,608
Born This Way. The leather loving rocking New-Yorker girl from the Upper East Side, who ****ed herself up in the Lower East Side and made her dreams come true. She had the right balance of humbleness, theatrics, hilarity and her vocals were usually on point throughout the era. She literally had such a sweet heart and was beautiful. THIS! Even tho i hate BTW and TFM she was at the top so she did what she wanted to do, As much as i love ARTPOP it's jus a sad attempt at being FameGa 2.0 with lots of self referencing and compromissed artistry WTF is MDNA
FameHookah 4,608
I read this question and immediately thought BTW but now I'm giving it a little thought, and i think this one has been the most raw. While during btw we had the opportunity to learn a little bit more of her heart, i don't think she has ever been more raw, in an emotional sense, than this era. During btw we NEVER would have gotten performances like swinefest, or songs like dope or swine or dwuw. During btw she went much deeper than we'd previously seen of her, but she was still too "structured" to warrant some of the things we've seem this era. I remember a quote from i think around 2011, she said something like I don't want to seem human on stage so you will never catch me drinking water on stage. She also said something about never letting us see her without heels. During this era she's made a POINT to take off her eig, smear her makeup, undress on stage, show us the process of her work, and not just the result. This era more than ever, shes not hiding the toll this work can have on her and the reasons why she must keep creating. Shes showing us this is really real, this is really her, she's a person too and the moment she steps on stage it isn't just some iconic crystallized moment in time, but the beginning of an emotional journey got both her and us. Hmm you got me thinking... She had a meltdown after all the media bashing and "flopping" thats why the doritos swine performance happened, but at the start of the era her old manager forced her to be FameGa 2.0 , she got sick of that and fired him, idk everything is so weird, maybe C2C will bring Stefani back WTF is MDNA
Wootan 0
It's a really hard question tbh In my opinion, she was the most honest to herself during the TF era. Watch her first interviews and her Gagavision videos ;)
