The heavy pop/dance pop/generic pop/Dr. Luke kind of pop was mostly because of him. I believe it is what she wanted at first (there's an interview where Dr. Luke said Kesha herself didn't want any strings on Animal) but then she wanted to try new things but it was so successful (specially Tik Tok) that he didn't let her drift away from the formula. Considering songs like Machine Gun Love and Dirty Love are the ones she preaches as what she wanted to be doing, then it's a good bet that she's going for a rock n roll sound. Also considering her Country roots and the times she went that direction, it's also safe to say it will be a big influence (not like Timber though).
