She's done so much this era as well but this fandom is more like "glass half empty" because when they think of promotion they think of the G.U.Y. Era. The only thing I see is people saying that those who don't like ARTPOP are here for the charts, whereas there were very good criticisms about her recent works. I draw and I would really like to have someone telling me what is wrong with my drawings (shadows, pressure, etc...). There are some harsh critics out there, but try to focus on what they say and a--lyze what you think could be interesting to improve. During the TF era, there was an interview where literally everyone was telling her that what she does is not real music and then someone told them to stop ; Gaga answered something like "No, keep talking, it's actually interesting to share your opinions, tell me more". What Perez and some other people do is not constructive. It's just rude. What fans on here do is not constructive most of the time. There are some who are just as bad. But I'm not surprised with the comments. Since everyone started bashing ARTPOP they just jumped on the bandwagon instead of supporting Gaga or giving constructive critism. And it wouldn't happen if ARTPOP sold a million first week and if it got TFM reception. So here's what I think: She is doing A LOT with Cheek 2 Cheek and promoting it too. She also has recorded several TV interviews and radio. Plus she's been planning a tour for so long and working on it too. She is working. Just because she isn't always seen doing stuff doesn't mean she's lazy. This is exactly what I mean. Her hard work is so under rated. Well, perhaps not lately, as she's on tour right now and I really don't expect her to do anything anyway. But there's no doubt she was lazy lot of the time during the ARTPOP era. Sometime it seemed like she doesn't want to success, and sometime she even directly said that, a thing that pissed me off. It's not like I like her for her success, but I don't want her to WANT to keep lying in the the ARTPOP grave either. Most of this era gave me the feeling of laziness, unwillingness and irresponsible of her. Even though I care about her and I know she had some tough times, she was oversensitive and simply cut the thin rope that her career managed to cling to. That I don't respect. I'm talking on promotion only, because that's the only thing I can see her doing. Even if she's working on other stuff it doesn't change the fact that she's got an album out there to promote. But when exactly this era was she lazy? Every single (promo included) got a fair amount of work done on it except G.U.Y. And I don't recall her saying she didn't want success. She only said if it means having to have her boobs and ass looking model like and selling her art for the sake of being successful and that was during SXSW. And I honestly think, not to be rude in any way, you are looking only at the negatives. She was done so much this era but because G.U.Y. Era she didn't do much promo people call her lazy. very unfair. Gaga is always working on things and that is this era included. And even with G.U.Y. She performed it at Roseland and also had it air on Letterman. But I know that isn't much. But to say you think she's being overly sensitive is unfair. Depression is not easy. It could drive one to wanting death and when your one "fans" are hounding you all the time as well as media and God knows what else... I don't know how many times I will have to say that, but BTW had huge sales and a really good reception (e.g. the Rolling Stone review), but Gaga lost a great part of her fanbase when she released this album. It wasn't because of the sales, and it wasn't because of the reception. Why can't it be the same with ARTPOP? You all say this is because of the charts, but have you ever thought there is a good reason why some people don't like this album? Have you ever tried to listen to what these people have to say?
