If ARTPOP was anything, it was ambitious! Even though the final product just didn't work out the way it was supposed to, it was certainly ambitious. if Gaga isn't ambitious, who is?? If you become lazy and less invested in selling yourself as brand than someone more eager and willing is going to take your place. ARTPOP feels more like a contractual obligation than a full on artistic work, ironically. THIS. I couldn't agree more. The vocals and album as a whole sound SO LIFELESS and robotic. Swine fest had an energy that none of the final recordings actually seem to have. I feel like she wasn't creatively ready to make a new album or was still very upset that they denied the first version of ARTPOP that she played the execs back in summer 2012. I think maybe she had a great concept/ideas and they essentially told her "**** your creativity" and she really took a blow from it. I have to imagine something happened, because even tho the songs on ARTPOP are good (I don't mean that they are bad), they just don't seem like her vision. They seem like DJ produced tracks that she picked out (which is the case in a lot of ARTPOP) and the album as a whole feels like a rushed 2nd attempt/Plan B. What ever happened to the revolutionary Gay underground Chicago glam/trap/spoken word album we were supposed to get? It's really depressing that we will never get to hear the original tracks with azealia (cause even tho she's a ****) I reallllly feel like the tracks they made together wasgonna be some veryyyyyy revolutionary **** Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I wish Gaga fans weren't so crazy and thirsty all the time. BE HAPPY. Beyonce didn't promote **** for her visual album. Britney Spears hasn't even done a proper interview in years. If she doesnt get her **** together and make music that people will like and buy.. she better get ready to perform in theaters again. So another "floppy" era doesn't really matter that much to her. She's really in it for the music. She knows she doesn't need huge tours and extravagant dresses. And she can always record albums no matter how much money she's making. I just want Gaga to be happy and healthy. I'm here to stick with her forever.
