Were the nomination committee members new-born babies who just learnt to pick up chits? The worst videos of the year are nominated for the 'Best...'. I knew they wouldn't give Gaga anything special but I never know the will go such-standard to attract viewrs. Anyway, the true winners:-

These are such terrible nominations.

 

Problem being nominated for any kind of video related thing but G.U.Y being snubbed? Even Applause being snubbed.

 

Problem's video is literally Ariana performing the song live, but in a different venue with some old timey coloring scheme + Iggy's big hair.

 

 

Lorde's Royals for Best Rock Video?

 

 

Lana @ her West Coast nomination, even though Shades of Cool is a much better video.

 

Royals still under "Best Female Video"?

 

I'm sorry, I love the song but the video is just incredibly basic and with whatever vague symbolism it has, its just not a great video.

 

Drunk in Love is also a pretty basic video... Partition and Pretty Hurts would be more deserving of Video of the Year, but I expect Wrecking Ball will win.

 

I guess I just expected the VMA's to give awards and nominations to videos that have a little more "oomph

 

At the end of the day, I just hope that Pretty Hurts & Fancy clean house.
