And next to that, it's not all about religion in Palestine/Israel. It's about capitalism, power (for the US), religion, the second worldwar and unfairness. In my opinion, it's unfair that Israel exists and that they took Palestine like that, and all the stuff that is happening there is really bad. But you can't be for capitalism and western ideas (in the Middle East too) while being against Israel, if that makes sense. And next to that, it'd also be unfair to say to the Israelians: 'you go live in this part of Germany from now on'.. Honestly, it's best to just wait for religion to die down a bit... both religions have Jerusalem as their holy place, which is a big reason why it's so important for them. All of the Abrahamic Religions are basically the same, except Islam's the youngest of all of them - it is still going through the problematic and violent stages that Christianity went through (Judaism was never really big enough to experience them and has always been victimised by others). Just don't fool yourself into thinking Islam's a fundamentaly more violent religion, because the Quran is as violent as the Old Testament, if not less. It's just it is still being used as a severe source of violence, unlike Westernised Christianity... for the most part. In time, the religious furour in the Middle-East will die down and to suggest the reason it won't is because people are breeding is absolutely ridiculous. It won't end because the religions are gone (it's territorial, not just religious), it will go when people move on. Iran's new leader has even expressed sorrow at the suffering Jewish people have endured recently... there are signs of people moving on past their anger and rage at one another. In 1950, 1/3 of the world population lived in communism. Now, even Russia doesn't have communism anymore. And then there's gay rights, which are improving at a rapid rate (14 years ago the first legal gay marriage was in the Netherlands, and now almost the whole Western world has legal gay marriage, and even Latin America has gay marriage legalized for a large part). And capitalism is also growing. The same will happen in countries with different religious views and/or bigger poverty and/or different political views, but at a later time. In 1947 the UN proposed the Partition Plan for Palestine, which splitted Palestine---a term that refers to the geographic region that most of the state of Israel is on and not to a state---into two, an Arab state and a Jewish state while Jerusalem is controlled by the UN. The Jewish "side" accepted the plan and most of it even was happy with it. The Palestinians, on the other hand, rejected it and wanted the whole area for a Palestinian state. Due the rejection, a war has began and the Israelis won. Saying the religion of both sides is the reason for everything is a bull****, because as you see both of the sides has been given an opportunity to maybe live in peace, one side was glad for that, the other one wan't.
