Ronlop 6,882
Hospitals are supposed to treat people no matter what nationality they are tho sis that's what they HAVE to do Besides the conflict in general is between the Israeli Government and Palestine, who's trying to free itself He mean't it as in They are supposed to do it, if they do it it would be inhumane. If they didn't Palestinians are not Israelis though... The Israeli Hospitals worked on getting those that are hurt to their hospitals so they will be healed. They don't HAVE to help them. Give me one example of a side in war that helped the other side. Yet, Morally- It's ufcourse the right thing to do. And the Israeli Hospitals indeed did it. That's exactly what I mean't, it would still be inhumane even if they weren't Israeli I don't care if most of the people don;t do it, it's what they HAVE to do. If i was working at some medical center I wouldn't care about the nationality of my patients even in times of war. I'm not even defending the palestinian side, I haven't seen anything about them helping israelis. They are doing the right thing to do they aren't doing more then they should don't brag about it. Besides Yoshi is right it does sound like Propaganda to me, i could be wrong but it's possible

MJHolland 12,725
Um yeah, there should be no "despite war" comments going on. This is the year 2014, not 14. We are a civilized society. I would hope that a HOSPITAL would treat anyone regardless of ethnicity 100% of the time. But congrats I guess for have minimalistic human decency(???) Didymus 34,380
then so do you. if the hospitals have nothing to do with the war then neither does the "despite war" comment or this thread, therefore just israeli pandering during a war. who cares then. The clocking.

CHANTEL 2
Haters gonna hate, with reason or not tell me where are we 'hating'? we are giving strong counter-arguments and normally discussing a subject. Please use the correct words before trying to attack the other side
Didymus 34,380
It wasn't a clock or anything. I don't understand why everyone needs to find negative things while the thread right here is about a POSITIVE thing.. Well, yeah, I get that, but the "despite war" part of garnite's post was dead on. My question, actually, is: how do these people even get inside Israel? I thought it was very complicated for Palestines to get beyond the border and if an exception is made for wounded, then why are there so little people treated? By the way: It's very obvious that this article you copied is a pro-Israel article. The "while Hamas keeps on firing rockets" comment is embarrassing and almost funny, but it's just too sad. The interviews with the patients are very hard to believe. These are subtle ways of trying to win people over or, better said, to keep Israeli's from questioning their desired point of view. Ronlop 6,882
Afghanistan, Vietnam Okay, well I didn't know that so thanks for letting me know! But let's look at all the other million cases: Germany-Russia, Germany-Poland, Iran-Iraq, and more and more.
Jjang 2,262
But here is where you're wrong. You need to make a difference between the government to the people. There is a very popular opinion that all Israelis are racist or bad or whatever...this proves it wrong. No need to generalize anyone. Racism still strongly exists in Israel and its society, though. (definitely not generalizing, just saying.)

My question, actually, is: how do these people even get inside Israel? I thought it was very complicated for Palestines to get beyond the border and if an exception is made for wounded, then why are there so little people treated? Well it is possible for Palestinians to enter Israel. There is a gate that can be opened from Gaza to Israel * * And about the number of people taken care of... I don't know I wish more innocent people would've taken care of to be honest but maybe it was hard to bring so many people over here due to the missiles and all of that? I wish I could answer that.
