Dolev 867
Try you again. What he's suggesting then, please explain?."Knowledge that his sister and mother will be raped", and how will he "know" that? Disgusting. "“I’m not talking about what we should or shouldn’t do." Backtracking. He's proposing it and he's not against it. And oh yeah, I'm so afraid of hasbara trolls lmao. Again “It sounds very bad, but that’s the Middle East,†the Bar-Ilan University academic told Israeli radio. “We can’t take such steps, of course,†Kedar told the programme. “I’m not talking about what we should or shouldn’t do. I’m talking about the facts. The only thing that deters a suicide bomber is the knowledge that if he pulls the trigger or blows himself up, his sister will be raped. That’s all. That’s the only thing that will bring him back home, in order to preserve his sister’s honour.†How dare you say rape culture is widespread in Israel while women are treated like beasts in the Muslim world? wow the hypocrisy & ignorance. MonsterMum 2,532
It won't matter that much I mean people that already took a side in this matter will stay with their opinion. lego 44,165
Ok I hope this is the last time I answer to 3 of you, since this is getting nowhere. I see MEMRI got people pressed. They usually monitor arabic TV's and translate clips that are interesting so I dont see how it is more biased than the actual media I've seen videos and photos of atrocities from Syria being spread on the news and web as videos from Palestine. Pollywood much? Well I dont think Israelis launched rockets from there. Why would Memri get anyone pressed? It stands for Middle East Media Research Institute, but it fails to include Israel in it too. If that so called institute wants to be unbiased, it should show other side as well, Israeli kids and their views on Arabs/Arab kids, learning to use weapons from young age(something which is other side often accused of), racism towards Arabs in Israel, racism/discrimination towards black (Ethiopian)Jews and African refugees etc. But you won't see that, why? Because it's founded by Yigal Carmon, a former Israel military intelligence officer. They say their goal is to ''bridge the language gap that exist between Middle East and the West'', which is ironic since it ALWAYS portrays Muslim and Arab world in negative light, are you telling me there is literally nothing positive coming from there, that those people are not even humans? Memri has been described as ''extreme brand of Zionism'' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East_Media_Research_Institute#Accusations_of_bias , no one serious includes it as their source for anything really. It's the same as if I would bring clip from Milosevic's RTS to prove that Albanians in Kosovo were not really persecuted and that mass graves contained actually Serbs dressed as Albanians. Serbia and Israel are very similar in that, justifying war crimes, portraying their enemy as threat for the whole world, dehumanizing them etc. I don't really care what videos you've seen, I'm following reporters/journalists (from the West) who were live tweeting from there and I believe in authenticity of their videos and photographs. Again How dare you say rape culture is widespread in Israel while women are treated like beasts in the Muslim world? wow the hypocrisy & ignorance. Again, bolding his statement is not helping you. All major media who covered it, saw it as call for rape of Palestinian women. I guess you just cannot find words to explain properly his speech and what he meant by it. And I never said anywhere that rape culture is widepsread in Israel, that was a quote from and article written by Israeli journalist who lives and works there. Again, if you read ALL of it, you will understand what he means by that: http://muftah.org/israels-war-gazas-women-bodies/#.U-Pad_mSw11 So you can complain to him, I didn't write it. Please stop This time, I would ask you young lady, to stop quoting me if you don't have anything to add to discussion. If you believe what I post is propaganda, that is your right, but as far as I know, I'm not breaking any rules, I'm not anti-semitic, I'm not generalizing all Jews, I have right to my views and you can just ignore them, and post whatever you think is your truth, and problem solved. lego 44,165
Joan Rivers has more terrible things to say about Palestinians: “You deserve to be dead†Just as Rivers made headlines a few weeks ago for ranting about how the Palestinians “started it†to TMZ cameramen, she again shouted her opinions at them yesterday when confronted at the Los Angeles Airport. “When you declare war, you declare war. They started it. We now don’t count who’s dead. You’re dead, you deserve to be dead,†she yelled, offering no sympathy for the civilians who have died in Gaza, including children. “At least the ones who were killed, were the ones with very low IQs,†she said. Rivers has repeatedly insinuated that anyone critical of Israel’s military assault on Palestine is stupid and dumb, as well. The list of such celebs, not all of whom Rivers has specifically called out, includes Rihanna, Mark Ruffalo, Russell Brand, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz. Comedian Jon Stewart summarized the attitude of Israel’s military action against Palestine the best, saying recently, “Just merely mentioning Israel or questioning in any way the effectiveness or humanity of Israel’s policies is not the same thing as being pro-Hamas.†http://www.salon.com/2014/08/07/joan_rivers_has_more_terrible_things_to_say_about_palestinians_you_deserve_to_be_dead/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=socialflow FreePalestine

I don't get how anyone could ever think Israel does not belong with the ME while asking the Middle East Media Research Institute to include Israel in its reports. What do you even know about Israel? yes, we are not perfect, but racism exists anywhere, everywhere. Any Arab in the middle would have prefer to live in Israel & most of Israeli Arabs would prefer to stay under Israeli control after a Palestinian state will be created. But let's ignore the backwardness of Muslim culture in the ME and blame Israel for everything, right? So you are eating whatever the media feeds you with? Surprise surpriese. Didymus 34,380
So.. Hamas refuses to extend the ceasefire because of Israel's response to their peace proposals. I'm disappointed, but I can't say I'm surprised.
