Im not the one using sarcasm and smile emojis in serious topics, and youre telling me to grow up?

I raised a question that is relevant to the topic, what did your post contribute exactly? Why should we care if Joan Rivers replied to your pro - Israeli friend?

What did u achieve/prove with that post, exactly?

Your emojis come off as rude to many people, even though you are aware of that and know that they are unneeded, that doesnt stop you from posting them.

Well I am not going to stop using emojis because some of you might think that's "rude", those are just little simelys expressing my opinion, not a caricature of the prophet Muhammad. Let's be honest, those who are thinking I am "rude" are not thinking so because of the emojis I am using but because I am "supporting killing of innocent poor children of GAza!!! u zionist killer!!"  :blehga: so save your energy for more important things.

How is a smile emoji after some of the posts you write are "expressions of your opinion"?

Exatcly as you said before. If it meant to be a sarcastic post then I'll use an emoji that shows it. If I am responding to an ignorant post I'll add a facepalm. If a comment sounds ridiculous to me then I'll end my response with a " :toofunny:". Those are just examples. Feel free to PM me if you'd really like to discuss it more, I suggest we stay on topic here.

Stay on-topic please. Settle your personal differences in a PM. This thread would only get further derailed if this off-topic argument keeps on.

Why can't the UN step in and do anything?

They are offering humanitarian aid to refugee's who had their homes destroy or were injured from the fighting.

They have hospitals and shelters set up but aren't there too engage militarily with either side.

The innocent casualties and civilians are the primary mission for the UN ...

Israel launched counter offensives (they claim) to prevent Hamas from launching rockets and mortar shells into their country from Gaza.

Palestinian supporters simply point out the innocent people being hurt but fail to acknowledge the provocations that Hamas has been doing .. plus the fact that they have been building tunnels to get under the blockade ...

Israel is using satellites and lazer guided bombs to target Hamas positions... Hamas sets up launchers near schools and hospitals hoping that Israeli attacks will miss and hit civilians so they can gain international sympathy in their war against the Jewish people.

Israel launched their attacks without UN approval or permission.   Hamas has never accepted any peace treaty with Israel and are in a perpetual state of war till they can remove all the Jewish settlements from Arab land. .

I don't see a solution right now but to prevent any military equipment from Gaza as it will only be used to attack Israel.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

It's sad that this conflict is still so prominent after decades of fighting. And for what?

The U.S. needs to stop funding Israel and focus on helping with peace efforts rather than advocating for one side.

Israel does try but it is hard with those tunnels dug into Egypt which Hamas is usually bringing their Iranian weapons through.

Most of their rockets, as well as their tunnels, are made of materials that can be used by civilians also, like concrete or metallic pipes and that's one of the reasons the Gaza Strip is partly under seige for the recent years. It is really complicated because Israel is not "allowed" to put on a seige in order to prevent Hamas from making more rockets & tunnels because it is hurting civilians lifes and raise poverty in Gaza, but on the other hand Israel is also not "allowed" to prevent Hamas from actually firing those rockets because civilians often gets hurt. No need to mention, Hamas doesn't care and both results are good for raising sympathy towards the victims in Gaza. This organization is fully committed to destroy Israel and many people expect Israel to tolerate this.

I hope whoever reads my posts understand how complicated this conflict is and how hard it is to to handle such a lunatic enemy. How come no one said a word about NATO's bombardments in Africa? about how the US attacked in Iraq & Afghanistan or Russia in Georgia? Israel is often criticized in a very hypocritical way. Israel does a lot to avoid civilian casualties, better than any other army in the world but it is worthless when your enemy literally wants his own people to die. Thousands of people, Muslims & Christians are being slaughtered in Iraq and Syria these days - no one cares. But when it comes to Israel... oh! the whole world suddenly forget about everything else. This is annoying and really worrying as for the real intentions of Israel's criticizers.

With that being said, the only true solution is peace. There is an epic quotation of 4th PM of Israel, Golda Meir, which I think fits perfectly with the whole Hamas - Israel conflict. "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."

Edit: the numbers are outdated. More rockets have been fired into Israel & the IDF discovered much more tunnels.

Look, guys, there's a ceasefire that has a lot of potential success, two delegations are willing to talk in Cairo, working on a permanent ceasefire, so let's follow their example and discuss the news from now on instead of the same old thing. Thanks.

Foreign Officer of the UK resigned from the government over Gaza.

Lady Warsi's resignation letter says government policy is "morally indefensible, is not in Britain's national interest and will have a long term effect on our reputation internationally and domestically".

She adds that the decision "has not been easy" but there is "great unease" within the Foreign Office over "the way recent decisions are being made".
