Just by the way your argument is going... with the whole "one side is not going to fade away suddenly"...etc. I'm not supporting/claiming that.

Picking a side means going against the other one, I'm not aga

No, I said discussing such topics (like who was first) is pointless cause no one is going to suddenly disappear.

Media coverage of the ugly war on Gaza has only served to remind us of the fundamental problem that has plagued the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since the beginning: Israelis are seen as real individual people, while Palestinians are an abstraction – objects of contempt, scorn, or pity – but not people to whom Americans can relate.

...Israel knows how important it is to maintain this unbalanced equation, in any battle they rely on their ability to dominate and shape media messages and images. And because the Israelis have cultivated all-too-compliant partners in the press and in politics, their narrative of events often trumps reality....

This past week’s coverage of the war in Gaza by the Washington Post can serve as a case in point.... last Sunday, as the Israeli ground offensive was beginning, the Post featured a front-page headline, in large type, reading “Two Israelis Killed in Gaza Clashâ€. In smaller type there was a subheading, “Death toll tops 330 as Hamas militants step up attacksâ€.

The impact of this presentation is quite clear. The loss of the two Israelis trumps the deaths of 330 Palestinians. While the Israelis are “killedâ€, the 330 dead are presented as a body-count – we are not even told that they are Palestinians. To add to the confusion, the 330 died “as Hamas militants stepped up attacks†– making Hamas appear as the sole responsible agent.

You are heartless if that's all you've got to say.

And Palestine is NOT Hamas. Those kids are not attacking anyone. Just stop.

He's a known islamophobe on this forum so that's his way of saying why he doesn't care if innocent muslims die since they are wrong religion.

Check out what one Jewish woman, a human rights activist, recently said:

@Elizrael

I couldn't care less if Gazans celebrated 9/11 or deaths of Israelis. Humanity isn't conditional. We shouldn't celebrate deaths in Gaza.

11:55am - 27 Jul 14

Americans don't care because they blindly believe their own media's propaganda and if it's happening somewhere far away from them, it's ok since it's not on their own ground. Also few hundred people do not represent whole nation or all members of religious group.

They are just lazy to check out the facts. But even THAT is changing.

Humanity may not be conditional - but that isn't going to universally change an entire nations opinion. On the bolded - people here blame Obama for everything wrong with government instead of the hundreds of senators and representatives who have more power. Honestly, this has nothing to even do with just this situation - it's just how humans function and that is the sad truth of it all and let's face it, you are not going to be able change the ways people socially respond to a situation overnight. Today it's Palestine, but where after that? It's a never ending inevitable cycle across the globe.
