darkwolf 590
But is Israel really targeting people? Or are they just firing missiles and such because Hamas is firing at them? If it's a war zone, then there's obviously going to be causalities. Especially in Gaza where there isn't as much defense as there is for Israel. Of course they are targetting people, they want to spread fear so that Palestinians leave the territory . You know that 200000 people were displaced ONLY since the start of the last offensive? Similar things happened in 2012, 2008-2009, 2006...and even worse things happened before. It just doesn't make sense when they say they don't target civilians, do you think it's ok to bomb a whole hostpital because one "terrorist" is hiding there? Ronlop 6,882
tell me how this is considered defense https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152175213133344&id=653318343 I could also use a combination of events with alot of pictures to prove my point as well Some of the quotes in the video are directed towards the Hamas and are interpreted wrong by you. I'm not saying Israel is a perfect country though but the Hamas is far from perfect as well!
darkwolf 590
Cause you would just sit and do nothing when a person keeps on hitting you? On 10 July the UN released a situation report which deplored the civilian casualties but added: “In most cases, prior to the attacks, residents have been warned to leave, either via phone calls by the Israel military or by the firing of warning missiles.†But the Hamas-run Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Interior has told residents not to pay attention to the IDF warnings. Israel's intention is not to kill innocent people although some do get killed because of the consequences of the war and that's sad, yeah! But it wasn't Israel's intention. Warned to leave? you mean leave their land so that Israel can annex it too? lol And where exactly can they escape? Israel only left them a tiny portion of land, all border crossings are forbidden, unless they jumps off to the sea maybe

Gaza also has a border with Egypt In December 2009, Egypt started with help from the US, the building of an Egypt–Gaza barrier along the Gaza border, consisting of a steel wall. On 5 July 2013, in the wake of Islamist attacks on security forces in the Sinai following the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, the border crossing was closed for several days by the Egyptian Army. It was later reopened for four hours each day. After the August 14th clashes, the border crossing was closed 'indefinitely'.

DeleteMyAccount 11,881
Yea but it's one thing to target people in general and say that Israel is targeting children. You know what I mean? This is a war and obviously people of all ages will get hurt. And did they purposely target a hospital or did a missile just strike there? I don't know if that was on purpose or not. Hamas has some blame as well because they did choose to ignore the ceasefire at one moment. And like others have been posting, didn't the Israeli govt. warn Palestinians to get out of the war zone? I'm just trying to get educated on both sides here.
Yoshi 35
cant believe lana del rey would turn against the gays, burn your ultra violence copies! Nurit Tinari-Modai (above), deputy Israeli ambassador and wife of the current ambassador Boaz Modai. “We can find names of [those] Israelis [who support Palestinians]… we should hit their soft spot, publish their pictures, maybe it will embarrass their friends and relatives at home, and hopefully the local [Palestinian] activists will think that they work for the Mossad… The acts of these activists are, I think, not ideologically motivated, but rather have to do with psychological reasons (disappointment with their parents or problems with their s-xual identity) or due to their need to receive a residence permit (refugee visa) in one of the European countries…†source ~ http://www.broadsheet.ie/2012/06/13/a-message-from-israels-deputy-ambassador-to-ireland/ http://electronicintifada.net/blogs/ali-abunimah/israels-dublin-embassy-planned-smear-palestine-activists-s-xual-deviants-and

I'm just trying to get educated on both sides here. But Israel has high technology weapons, and they can precisely choose their targets, use drones...etc. It's not some hand made stuff like what's teh Palestians are using. Also, I can understand if 5 or 10 children die by "accident", but 400! that just doesn't make sense. Here is the example of the 4 children killed on the beach, in front of journalists from all over the world http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/07/16/what-happened-when-palestinian-children-were-killed-in-front-of-a-hotel-full-of-journalists/ Also, the excuse that they warn people prior to firing is just lame; because Gaza is basically a prison, it's a really tiny portion of land and people can't go anywhere. Also, if they leave Gaza, they can be sure that they will never return, Israel has been doing that for more than 60 years now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iqrit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kafr_Bir%27im You can read about the hitory of the conflict too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli%E2%80%93Palestinian_conflict
