Israel - Palestine Conflict Discussion Thread

They were in Exile.

But the whole discussion is about who is the owner of Israel when the true fact is that no one is.

The Jewish People lived in Israel in the past, then Palestinian lived in Israel and now the Jewish People live in Israel but the arabs that didn't run away still are in Israel and count as Israelis.

What I truly think is that Israel belongs to both: Jewish and Palestinian. Will they live together? That's a different question. I personally believe that they should live in seperate countries that will support eachother's economy and so on

*When you say Palestinians though, who are you exactly referring to? the 1,660,000+ Arabs living in Israel?

i don't think it's relevant to the argument. as jjang said, we can discuss this without paying any attention to whether or not some point in the past jews lived there or not. my argument would be exactly the same.

But then I could say Palestinian people "stole" from the Jewish People their house...

The difference is that I'm not saying this...The land doesn't belong to one. It belongs to both of them together.

Can I just mention that the OP made a really offensive & stupid statement that is totally WP worthy?

Jokingly or not, I don't care about the intentions, its plain rude.

As far as I know, and again I don't know exactly.

The 1,6660,000 Arabs living in Israel are Palestinians that didn't run away after 1948. They count as Israelis like every Israeli.

I am refferring to thePalestinians living now in Jordan ( Palestinians that ran away to there) and the arabs that live inside the border line (green line).

*False.

*That is not a valid argument and you know it, there is no confirmation of this happening historically, if you're going to make a delusional assumption then that's your choice (and a stupid one I should add), but its not the truth, far from it.

*While on the other hand, Palestinians and other citizens living before 1948 having their property stolen is a known fact all around the world, historically.

I obviously don't think that way but I could say it is the same.

Ufcourse the events that happened in 1948, the fact that their property was stolen is is true ! I don't deny that and I definitely don't support that.

What I'm saying is that in a theoretical way, you could say that the Palestinians stole the land from the Jewish People because the Jewish people lived there first.

But again, I don't actually believe that  !

I believe the land belongs to both of them and I feel like I am not the person who has the answers how to bring both of the people together.

In my opinion, 2 countries in 1 territory is the best option but there might be better options  I don't know! But I want peace as much as you and I don't deny to historical facts.

and on topic of the post, I don't support what those stupid extreme rights did to that innocent kid. The government doesn't support it as well just so you know because the prime minister himself said this and so on. The police arrested more Israelis today.

For that solution, Israel's government and army has to be the bigger hand, so its really up to Israel, at the end of the day...eventually.

But I guess we're both on the same page (SOLUTION WISE) with a little disagreements here and there, but that's fine.

It is up to Israel but the current government in Palestine is runned by also Hamas members. As we both know, the Hamas confirmed they were in charge of the 3 kids' kidnapping and murder.

So Yes, it is up to Israel because they are "stronger" but there are stuff that the Palestine government needs to assure and that is not combining terror with the government and definitely not supporting terror.

And yeah, we are on the same page probably  And sadly, we both won't know how to find a solution for this. Definitely not through a gaga forum.

But what I can do is hope that in our lifetime, we could see the solution happening.

so gays should have their own country? and blacks? instead of integrating them into society with everyone and helping to erase racism, homophobia and anti-semitism, we throw them into this state upon which other people live and create an ongoing conflict situation with death, death, and more death and destruction and terror. everyone else is a whole lot less safer because of israel, INCLUDING the jews. that is NOT how you get rid of anti-semitism. i have no idea where you got this way of thinking but it's destructive.

This. Humans need to come together as one race, the human race. We need to stop segregating ourselves based upon ethnicity, gender, s-xuality, material wealth, etc.

The problem with your green line is this:

You want more land because your population is expanding, how about the other side and their population? Does it matter at all? Where are they supposed to go?

It's like a bully claiming the playground till he has it all to himself and his friends.

Lion Heart

A shocking video, showing Israeli police officers savagely beating 15-year-old Palestinian-American Tarek Abu Khdeir – cousin of Mohammad Abu Khdeir who was burnt alive in East Jerusalem – has prompted outrage in the Palestinian community.

The video shows two officers striking the detainee, who was handcuffed and lying on the floor. One of the officers seems to be sitting on the Palestinian, while his colleague is kicking and punching him. The youth is eventually dragged away by the police.

The video of Tarek’s beating has surfaced as the funeral was held Friday for his cousin, Mohammad Abu Khdeir, who was kidnapped in the same area and burned alive.

The beating, shot from two different angles by people filming from their windows, took place on Thursday evening in Shuafat, a neighborhood in East Jerusalem.

One of the videos was broadcast on the Palestine Today television channel.

The second video posted on Facebook by Quds News Network shows the same incident.

Princess Die

How much more needs to happen before these atrocities are addressed? And of course the people of Israel turn a blind eye as usual.

Nod if you wanna make love with the enemy. ❤
