Luc 4,776 Posted July 2, 2014 Share Posted July 2, 2014 In 1947 the UN proposed the Partition Plan for Palestine, which splitted Palestine---a term that refers to the geographic region that most of the state of Israel is on and not to a state---into two, an Arab state and a Jewish state while Jerusalem is controlled by the UN. The Jewish "side" accepted the plan and most of it even was happy with it. The Palestinians, on the other hand, rejected it and wanted the whole area for a Palestinian state. Due the rejection, a war has began and the Israelis won. Saying the religion of both sides is the reason for everything is a bull****, because as you see both of the sides has been given an opportunity to maybe live in peace, one side was glad for that, the other one wan't. What do you expect imagine: there's a war between christians and religion y in Europe. After this, the UN proposes a partition plan for the state of New York, which is a holy place for religion y, where religion y can migrate to and have their own country with half of the state. The rest is still for the US citizens. Would the people living in the US or New York State agree with this? of course not. It's their country and has been like that for over 200 years. Before the war Palestine had been under a British administration. The british believed in the Jews' right to establish a country on Palestine and they proposed to divide the country into two states. The british believed in the Jews' right to establish a country on Palestine and they proposed to divide the country into two states. and sis that's FORCING people who wanted to have their Independence into living with other people just because they were invaded by the british. Are you actually saying that it's ok that they get independence if they give away some of their rightfully owned territories? What if someone chose to invade your home and tells you that you can be independence as long as you split your house in two and you give him the other half? don't you think it's unfair?
