Ronlop 6,882
The governing authority in the Gaza strip agreed to a cease-fire, but the violence continues Propositions for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip collapsed Sunday, with the death toll on both sides increasing as Hamas continued to lob rockets into Israel and Israeli military forces renewed their ground operation in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Hamas is “continuing all its operations†despite agreeing Sunday to a temporary cease-fire extension after it initially refused to do so. “We’re faced with a very ruthless terrorist enemy,†Netanyahu told CNN on Sunday, accusing Hamas of hiding behind “civilians as human shields.†U.S. President Barack Obama spoke with Netanyahu by phone Sunday, according to a White House readout of the call, telling the Israeli leader the U.S. condemns Hamas’ attacks against Israel but also reiterating the U.S.’s “serious and growing concern†about casualties on both sides of the conflict, as well as “the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.†Obama also “made clear the strategic imperative†of an immediate humanitarian cease-fire that leads to a broader end to the violence. On Saturday, after intense efforts by the U.S. and U.N., Hamas and Israeli agreed to a 12-hour lull, which allowed medics to collect close to 150 bodies and Palestinians to return to neighborhoods reduced to rubble, the Associated Press reports. That cease-fire officially ended at 8 p.m. on Saturday, the New York Times reports, after which Israel announced it would hold fire for another 24 hours at the request of the U.N. Hamas, however, rejected Israel’s cease-fire extension on the grounds that Israeli forces would remain in Gaza. Israeli military spokesman Lieut. Colonel Peter Lerner said that Hamas fired 25 rockets and mortar shells into Israel. In response, Israel resumed its operations Sunday morning. Gomstre 2
That's funny. 1. The best part I laughed so hard ha ha ha. 2. The Palestinian state has never existed. And wait, who wants to take people homes now? But let me take a guess, it's okay because Jews did that to Arabs 66 years ago? Or even better--nothing will happen to the Israelis Jews and they all will live in peace and harmony under Hamas government. Sounds like fun. 3. The Hamas is blamed for the current situation, but you cling to past events so you could have reasons to hate Israel. The feud has been going on before Hamas was founded because both Arabs and Jews wanted to establish their own state on the Palestine land. As a compromise, the Jews didn't mind to divide it into two, the Arabs wanted the whole land for themselves so they went to a war against the Jews and what a shame, the Jews won. 4. A ****ing mess. Who said that? If anything, you use this as an argument for you side. We do think that Hamas should be overthrown because it simply wants the destruction of Israel. 5. The sweet revenge?... You have disqualified this argument by yourself by calling the Jews inhuman and then bragged about the humanity of your side. 6. You've got it right for a change! It is a false. Israel did give Gaza to the Palestinian Authority, but they lost the control over it after their conflict with the Hamas that rejected and broke agreements between the PA, Israel and Egypt. It was also threatening to carry out terrorist acts in Israel, and that what made Israel to declare Gaza as an enemy zone and to impose the blockade on it after Hamas had taken over it. 7. Go to Syria.

Ronlop 6,882
Define terrorism, fighting for own territory? Umm no. Hamas is killing innocent people intentionally! There is a difference between an army and a terror organization. If you don't believe me, perhaps you should believe the Human Rights Watch when they presented a 43 page long list of human rights violation committed by Hamas. Hamas has been also included in the black list of EU-designated terrorists groups since 2003
Tokyo Rose 1,475
Define terrorism, fighting for own territory? It's a very manipulative word to use, since it calls up fear emotions from events like 9/11. If you don't believe me, perhaps you should believe the Human Rights Watch when they presented a 43 page long list of human rights violation committed by Hamas. Is genocide a human rights violation? Gov Hooka 8,008
Define terrorism, fighting for own territory? Well the West Bank is under control of the Palestinian Authority, which is a peaceful government (recognized by the UN-meaning it has seats in the UN, and that isn't labelled as a terrorist organization) that cooperates with Israel and doesn't shoot rockets at them. Hamas tries to combat Israel by stockpiling thousands of weapons in the tiny area of land they control putting them around civilians, then firing them at Israel, and wreaking havoc in the area as opposed to the way the West Bank is run. Who is really wrong here? Hamas.

Genicode- the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. It is not a genicode. It is 100% a defense operation. What other country in the world would let terrorists throw rockets 24/7 on them? Israel is not killing innocent people deliberately. The purpose is to destroy the Hamas that is preventing from peace.
