Del Toro and Hogan scripted the pilot episode, "Night Zero", which del Toro directed. A thirteen-episode first season was ordered on November 19, 2013. It will premiere on FX on July 13, 2014." The billboards with that pic on are being removed due to people complaining "We are in the process of replacing the key art for ‘The Strain’ on outdoor media in several locations,†a FX spokesman said in a statement.
