    • It's great. The instrumentals are much better now.

    • It sucks. She's getting lazy and not focusing on the melodies.

    • I don't care. I don't notice much of a difference.

    • I don't mind it, but I want her to go back to crafting instrumentals around melodies, not vice versa.

It has been like that all along.

Matter of fact, it has been like that in.the industry for ages.

What is so surprising about it?

That is why there are producers, they make and tweak the instrumentals, the music.

The artist just write lyrics, and sing and tell their idea how they want it to sound on the most part.

I'm not bothered by it, maybe because I never was a really big fan of these songs except Aura.

Plus, I don't really pay attention to instrumentals.

I know it's going to sound stupid but I'm actually impressed that she managed to write melodies that go well with the instrumentals.

It's not stupid at all, you need talent for that. And she still wrote the lyrics. But these little managers want to drag her any time possible.

I still love the music but its still annoying because she makes a big deal out of that stuff and because she took forever to release AP

She was always doing this, every artist does this, sometimes the inspiration comes with the music :legend:

So there were quite a number of tracks from ARTPOP that had pre-made instrumentals which Gaga built the songs around. Mary Jane Holland, Donatella, Applause, Aura, G.U.Y. to name a few.

What do you think of this? Gaga rarely used to do it this way. But now it seems she's literally taking entire instrumentals and fitting her own melodies around them. For instance, the Aura instrumental hardly changed from the Infected Mushrooms song.

Is she being lazy? Is she uninspired? Or is this simply a new method of song-writing that she prefers?

Personally, I don't mind it, but I would like her to go back to her old way of doing things. In some songs on ARTPOP, it's very obvious that she shoe-horned in melodies that didn't belong.

How are Applause and G.U.Y. pre-made?

Its nice to see most people selecting the correct choice

Crafting melodies around the instrumental is not the end of the world, but we will never have TFM levels of pop epicness if she isnt pushing herself to create truly fresh and iconic melodies from scratch. That's how all the greats did it. Just imagine if Michael Jackson spent his whole career making songs by emailing beats with DJ'S/producers. Songs as epic as Billie Jean and Beat It would probably cease to exist. He let the songs come to life in his head and did not need to limit himself to someone elses ideas in order to fuel his flawless songwriting. A true king of pop :legend:
