elijahfan 26,247
Paparazzi was about the decay of an icon. Not the expectations of what a popstar should be. It's true that Paparazzi is about the decay of an icon - but the concept doesn't just stop there. It tells you something. The decay is what people expect from celebrities and popstars. For Christ's sake, we've been living it for more than a year now... The media trying to say Gaga is over when her album actually did very well. Everybody loves to see a star falling down. It's cyclic - they love you, they hate you, until they love you again. That's exactly what is being shown in Paparazzi. Remember she even said during the BTWBall "I'm everything that you love and everything that you hate". Gaga has always had this self-conscious / ironic look on fame - if The Fame wasn't ironic, god... that would mean Gaga would just be a selfish little brat - and we all know she's the complete opposite. hookerfreak 30
The Fame was about the expectations of the industry from a popstar This 'Sellebrity' concept is about the expectations of the popstar from the industry love this idea
Mariano 958
How would she produce great material though She does not even release her best songs ;__; I know .. I really feel now that all her success (single wise) was just a good luck. They just happened to pick the best songs with her first albums .. Now it's such a mess ..... Miel 15,009
That's actually a pretty interesting idea. I feel like it's been done before, but I wouldn't mind if Gaga did it to a point. She could make an incredibly powerful statement with it. That said, I feel like it'd just go over everybody's heads and all the fans would be like "yath she's back FameGa yaaaath". 3 points in and ready for more
Michael 533
It's true that Paparazzi is about the decay of an icon - but the concept doesn't just stop there. It tells you something. But when I'm talking about this concept being about the expectations of a popstar, I'm talking about the expectations of the decay. It's two completley seperate ideas and concepts. LostBoyfriend 1,119
Sellebrity. I totally love your idea, and that sellebrity is so cool but she would be getting a lot of backlash at least she put a lot of effort and execute everything right. LoveandMagic 1,731
As long as it's a well organized theme/concept and the music is on point I'm there for the ride. Truthfully, while I find themes a fun way for artists to organize their thoughts, I can also do without them. I just ask for enjoyable music and a good show. I expect some originality though, with Gaga, but I'm also down for light, fun songs too. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
