Cruelty 6,172
I really think that for the next tour, Gaga should just go to smaller venues (ie 1,500 - 3,500 capacity venues). It's not like there's none of those venues, for example: The Roundhouse (London, UK) (capacity: 3,300) Zepp Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan) (capacity: 2,709) Club Nokia (Los Angeles, US) (capacity: 2,300) Nokia Theater (Los Angeles, US) (capacity: 7,100) O2 Apollo (Manchester, UK) (capacity: 3,500) The Theater at Madison Square Garden (New York, US) (capacity: approx. 5,000) Think about the Roseland shows, think about SXSW, think about Swinefest (my favourite ever Gaga performance). They didn’t have a great sense of scale like her major tours, they didn’t have massive screens, they didn’t have B-stages and runways. All they had were small stages. And they felt really, really special. Because they were very personal. It was Gaga, up close with just 3,000 fans (for example), not a barrage of 15,000 screaming fans. Maybe it’s not what should happen all the time, but I really would prefer Gaga doing (for example) three shows at the O2 Apollo Manchester instead of one show at Phones 4U Arena. At Swinefest, she still had lots of costume changes, she still had wig changes, elaborate backing music from her band, full-on performances of songs (SWINE), lots of confetti, props (like the cage for Aura), and so it still had all the things typical of a Gaga show. But the music felt so much more real at Swinefest. For example, ARTPOP (song) sounded so personal and so special, when it wasn’t drowned out by lots of screaming fans. Roseland still had a fairly elaborate stage design (ladders, staircases, roses everywhere). It still had a mix of full-on and acoustic performances, costume changes. But again, the music somehow felt more real and more personal, and therefore more personal. I’m not saying my view is right, I just think that Gaga on a smaller scale feels more personal and more special than a big arena show. And I’d be happy for the next tour to be on a smaller scale in smaller venues. It can still feel like a big Gaga show and have all the same things as a big Gaga show, but in a smaller venue and on a more personal level. (And she'd do multiple shows in each city/venue, so people don't brand her as a flop. The same amount of people going to a Gaga show in each city as normal, but a smaller attendance per show) Do you agree? Haroon 49,685
Definitely not I'd like at least arenas like the size of the O2 Arena in London, I feel like that's the compromise between intimacy and everyone being able to see everything Plus the stage can still be elaborate and amazing in arenas and appreciated without seeming tiny like in stadiums

Kyle 345
Yeah... downgrading from Arenas to theaters is JUST what this fanbase needs. We would literally need to be put on suicide watch.
