Dad charged with murder after leaving baby inside hot car all day

he committed crime , whether it be intentional or not . it's just the way the justice system works , and i think he did deserve the charges and imprisonment because not only did he leave his baby in a 100+° car , but he didn't have concern for the sake of his child nor did he do something simple , hire a babysitter for his son .

He comitted no crime here. This is not murder, plain and simple! The brain sees no difference between forgetting a coffee and forgetting a child in a car. This isn't some crackhead who left a baby in the car on purpose to go shopping for fake gucci bags.

 

And locking him in prison? What is that supposed to solve? Prison is for people who are a danger to society, is this man a danger?

 

No, what this man needs, is to be provided with intense inpatient psychological help so that he doesn't have a mental breakdown and lose his sanity or kill himself.

 

Prison will not help him. Not one bit. He's made his own prison that will be far worse then any prison he can be put in.

Are you being serious? You don't forget your child. There is no excuse! You should know where your child is 24/7.

It's negligence, and is murder. No, regret isn't a punishment, it's deserved in this matter. It's common sense how hot a car is on a hot day. The fact it was so long, there is no excuse, no. He absolutely should be charged! An innocent child lost their life before given the chance to live one.

Murder is when you say "I want to kill X, and I'll do it with a baseball bat tomorrow" and then you do it.

 

Calling this murder is like saying a mother murdered her baby when her car lost control on a patch of ice while driving killing the baby.

Same thing as this: Your parent was doing errands and forgot the time.

 

He thought he dropped the child at the daycare center and went into work with nothing telling him otherwise. He was at work for eight hours thinking his kid was at the daycare only to find out as soon as he got back in the car that "no, your child has been here all day."

 

Prison won't help the man at all. You can't rehabilitate someone from a mistake... there's no arguing that point.

I wonder if those who are completely baffled that a child could be forgotten realize that this father likely felt the exact same way prior to this horrific mistake.

Um no... You need to get your definitions right. This was not murder. He had absolutely no INTENTION to harm or kill his child. But because of stupidity, a death resulted. The correct term would be involuntary manslaughter. Like if someone was driving drunk and crashed into someone and killed them .

3rd degree murder is another term for voluntary manslaughter. Its when you intend to harm someone, but end up killing them in the process. Like if you got into a physical fight with someone and pushed them and they fell off a balcony and died as a result of the push.

although i do agree with him needing therapy since at this point since he unintentionally killed his child and could easily breakdown .

This man made a mistake, he didn't murder anyone.

 

He shouldn't be charged with anything!

 

He's already been 'punished' enough by losing his child due to an accident, and has to live the rest of his life with the pain and guilt knowing that because of his forgetfulness his child is dead because of him.

Bastard? He FORGOT, he didn't leave him on purpose! Did you read? The man is practically dead already, I wont be surprised if he kills himself before the year is over. There is a CLEAR DIFFERENCE between MURDER and MANSLAUGHTER.
