I was a big fan until she released BTW... Edge of Glory and Blood Mary kept me going and MANiCURE on ARTPOP has made me stay a bit longer but she really has to work hard on the next album.

She can't just cancel the era again halfway through or give up on her team again.

She can't just rely on the victim complex anymore.

To me, it's all about the music and if she's only bringing one track per album while the rest is filler then I will have to stop caring about her because there are artists on par with her now.

Her next album after that jazz side project will show if she really is the artist we believed in at one point.

Judas was perfection and in the UK it received barely any backlash but I'm not surprised it did in the US.

I think her downfall was she preached too much; the GP didn't care for the message of BTW or ARTPOP, they just wanted good music and I think with ARTPOP she fell short. The promo was lazy and she began to switch her attitude to 'I don't care for the charts' which was really transparent.

Anyway back to Judas; perfect track but shouldn't have been 2nd single. She should have released Edge of Glory (not as a promo) as 2nd single with a killer video.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Well maybe it was a mistake, but she didn't get much backlash in Europe/Asia etc. i think it was just in the USA ?

The video (even song?) was completely banned in some Asian countries :emma:

I don't know what damaged her career so bad but....at least , in my country , the last songs that charted here were Born This Way and Judas. The Edge of Glory didn't managed to reach the chart (it's played here like once in months , tho i heard it this year too). The only exceptions were Applause which peaked on 89 and DWUW which peaked somewhere in top 40.

Judas is an amazing song. People need to look into the meaning of the songs and not instantly think is blaspheme when its actually not.

Spartacus

Another example of bad single choice screwing up the flow of the era. If Marry The Night or EOG had been 2nd lead the album would had more #1s imo.

One of my friends became a fan solely because of that song rLdoVMJ.gif  and seeing them censoring her red bra in the video was the funniest thing. There were like 2 blurry circle on her boobs instead of the crosses rLdoVMJ.gif
