pachinko 10,447
Gaga's music isn't commercial anymore. Period.
giskardsb 12,565
I used to love/hate it. It was kind of a blessing and a curse. It's an amazing song, one of her best along with the video. But it did bring backlash. What the backlash brought was this whole new attitude in Gaga. She finally said she didn't care about the charts, going as far as to mock the corruption in the music industry. She's much more free and badass, and I'm lovin' it. Thanks, Judas. the entire Bad Romance video was mocking the corruption of the music industry. As far as Judas, to me it's her best music video, so I'm happy it was made a single. I love the whole idea of Christ and Disciples represented as a motorcycle gang.
MonsterMum 2,532
I am Roman Catholic but I was not offended. I agree releasing it with Easter might have been just over the top but people in general are so sensitive and ridiculous over that matter and yes I say that as a Roman Catholic. Anyone willing to spend more then 1 listen to it will hear the metaphors, you don't have to be a rocket scientist. I love listening to lyrics cause they can mean sometimes so much or actually change the "feel" of the song of only people are willing to LISTEN. SiberianBreaks 53
When she released Judas as the next single from Born This Way, I almost left her. I'm Roman Catholic you see? The beat is okay and stuff but the lyrics are really offending. She should have made the song titled 'Lucas' for Luc Carl. "I wanna love you but something's pulling me away from you..... LUCASSS, LUCA-AAAAASSSSS" Can you explain why you find that song offensive ? :) I get that you're catholic, but knowing that the song is metaphoric, and that she says "Jesus is my virtue" at the end of the song, I don't really understand. Teri Hatcher 2,053
I used to love her but then she had ass implants ITS A FCKIN JOKEI used to love gaga but cheek to cheek :noparty: By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig. Sakrai 4,759
Why was this thread revived?? Judas was a ridiculous single choice. Just picture girls singing without the music, screaming Judaaa judaa a-ah Judaaas Juda ah-ah!!! :megaflop: you'd have to be basic as **** to understand the song as anything other than quirky biblical metaphors, but that doesn't take away the fact that singing that song out loud is awkward as f*ck :awkney: Oh, I'm just visiting-
Alien Tulip 12,428
I think Born this way was just released too soon in her career. Born this way as a song would have been okay released in 2011 still but the other religious metaphors on the album and preachiness turned fans and people that were interested in her off. She could have went towards a new direction after the fame monster in my opinion.
Creyk 17,822
Re-listening Judas now and I don't even like it anymore. It completely aged and I can't enjoy it anymore  As for the backlash, IDK...TEOG did really well, which came after Judas, so I don't think it caused that many problems as we claim...it's more like the messiness of her eras and bad single choices which turned her into an underdog, and then Katy Perry completely obliterated her in front of the public
Phlop 4,773
Judas Yuyi and MTN (video) were mistakes. Should've stuck with the original plan. BYE
MonsterOfSpain 8,318
When she released Judas as the next single from Born This Way, I almost left her. I'm Roman Catholic you see? The beat is okay and stuff but the lyrics are really offending. She should have made the song titled 'Lucas' for Luc Carl. "I wanna love you but something's pulling me away from you..... LUCASSS, LUCA-AAAAASSSSS" Well that's just stupid because they're not offending in any possible way. And no, it wasn't a mistake. It's my favorite song from Born This Way and it didn't cause any controversy in Europe.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Yes I still think that Judas release was Gaga's biggest mistake in her career :thirst: It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
LEMON 80
My sister loved Judas and hated every other song on BTW lol But yeah Judas wasn't the best single choice
Klou 2,414
No. I say if they're ignorant and not even willing to look into the real meaning of the lyrics, then let them leave the fanbase.
