Should the fans have access to demos and early versions?

YES! I was thinking about this the other day actually. I'd love to see the process and how the songs evolve. And with Gaga I honestly think that she works too long on her songs. It's like, she keeps changing/adding/removing stuff until the last minute, which can sometimes ruin the song.

So yes I'd love to hear earlier versions, especially from ARTPOP

Rather than it being a problem the fan's access to and reception of demos, I think some of the problem had to do with Gaga's creative process in the ARTPOP era.  Namely, I think she worked on the songs for WAY too long.  Some of them had been in production since late 2011.  She just kept tinkering and changing things for months (even years) on end..

omg yes same opinion :legend:

Do you hear that? It's poison.

It's not good for Gaga cause the demos are usually better than the final song :hehe:

Yes, absolutely yes. In fact I would love to have demos of certain songs (Bloody Mary (the one from TFM era), Scheibe, an earlier demo of Aura, Venus, G.U.Y., ARTPOP, Fashion!, Applause)

i think they should be released after the songs come out, it's not like everyone's going to listen to them. I still haven't listened to MJH demo yet.

plus it would be cool to see what changed from the demo to the final version

I like what Gaga did at Swinefest, it kept us guessing until the album release what were the album version were gonna be like, I love what she did, I think the Swinefest version were quite basic (compared the album version)

I agree with you. I'm very grateful for the Gaga demos that we got, for many of them include qualities that are far superior to the final studio versions, but the fans by no means should be granted access to those demos. Like you said, it devalues the final product.

That being said, at the end of the day, we're all here for great music. If the demos are great music, and maybe even greater than the final pieces, then I'm very pleased to hear them. I also find that hearing both the demos and the final studio versions inspire young fans to create music themselves, as the fans begin to mix and match the different versions together to create a new, personalized sound that may be even better than what the artist put out.

This. There was a version of the Aura demo that came out when it first leaked. It included a third chorus with an amazing transition, almost as if it was official. Plus it adds more to her discography on my phone :)

I like to listen to demos because I love the process of how a song is made, what changed and what stayed
