Others have their ego's tied up in the zeitgeist of stanning for someone at the top of the pop pantheon and their pleasure at being associated with that group. I can't see her having a song that big again but quality-wise absolutely, she arguably topped it with The Edge of Glory, but of course the video brings that one down. I'm aware that people do it successfully - I'm saying they SHOULDN'T use this process in the music industry cause it makes them look like they lack talent. But songs like Poker Face, Paparazzi, The Edge of Glory are sometimes considered better than it. As for the success, the song won't be as big as it was without the video. She can't really control that besides promoting it like crazy and even then, she can't really control how the GP takes it. I don't get what your point is.
