Floppy 7,951
Me labeling Mary Jane Holland a "filler" has nothing to do with whether or not I like it. There are plenty of tracks on ARTPOP that I dislike more then Mary Jane Holland that I wouldn't consider to be fillers; Donatella, Jewels N' Drugs, and G.U.Y. for example. A filler is a song that doesn't add to the record in any substantial way, it's a basic song that was "tossed onto the record" because better material wasn't available. Mary Jane Holland in my opinion is a filler, and probably should have been one of the digital bonus tracks that artists slap onto "deluxe albums" in order to milk money out of fans. I don't particularly dislike Mary Jane Holland. Glad I could clear that up for ya'. That is a pretty interesting take on ARTPOP, I'll keep it in mind when I listen to it again. But how is something tossed onto an album if a lot of work still went into it. How exactly does it add nothing to the album, I really want to know why you think it adds nothing at all. Floppy 7,951
I think he means that a filler doesn't fit the context or "story" of the album at all In that case MJH fits the story of the album perfectly. The whole song is about being a disguised, pot head in Amsterdam (i.e. Addictions) Edited June 4, 2014 by Floppy

Rae 86
I listen to this 3 times or more. Who in the heck changed it. The demo is more powerful. I can't believe Gaga let them clean this hit off the table.

TEANUS 14,975
I feel like Gaga recorded her vocals in a hotel room somewhere on the BTWB and sent it to Madeon with ideas of what she wanted it to sound like. Then Madeon made this and sent it back to her. Just how I think it went :) British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
