Reviews on TicketMaster: Love Gaga, Hate Opening Acts

Do not hate on Madeon, that was a real DJ set occupying the full sound system and it was easily her best opening act ever.

Trust me, I was not hating on him, just his set was too long. I also enjoyed looking at him ;)

For starters, have these people ever been to concerts before? The opening acts usually take up a substantial amount of time. Secondly, when you purchase a ticket, you're doing it for the main act. Unless the opening acts are just absolutely ghastly, I don't see the point in complaining.

They're complaining cause they didn't like the opening acts obviously. Just like you said they're there for the main act which is Gaga

Let's be real. Hatsune was okay but I was over it quickly. Like Starlight on a personal level but after having her ear-splitting bass in my ears for what seemed like an hour, I was over it too.

I respected them both but it felt like their sets were forever

I can understand some issues with Starlight, and some for Miku. But I think a lot of complaints for Miku just stem from your usual "different/never experienced before = bad"

I thought Miku was kinda cool, and I didn't even mind that it was in Japanese.  The problem was that 90% of Miku's songs all sound the same.  If her music was actually interesting and catchy, then I might have enjoyed her act.

Poor Hatsune Miku :noparty:

How many tours will Gaga do before she'll ditch Lady Starlight? She has been there since like the beginning of time.

Is it true that her act was THAT boring?

I wouldn't mind if the sets were shorter and Gaga performed more songs tbh.

That anime character sounded terrible :rip: It sounded like a high pitched chipmunk spouting out nonsense.. Starlight was even better than her :lmao: But ya, everyone at my show was defs getting annoyed at the two hours of boring opening. Although, it DID make the crowd that much more excited when Gaga finally came on

Yes, it was. She literally played the same beat for an hour, and flung her arms around for the duration of it. If it woulda been ten minutes long, it woulda been cute and entertaining. But it was defs a snore fest.

Hatsune herself was terrible, but the instrumental + the backup dancers kept me entertained. Starlight was cute for like 5 minutes but went on for 60

Hearing about how bad the openers were makes me dread being on the floor and losing a good spot.

I completely understand Gaga is the main attraction but I resent there not being a known or semi popular artist as an opener.

I think the idea of an opener is also to try and attract some of the headliners audience to become fans of the opener and sadly neither Starlight or Hatsune are doing that good of a job at it.

Miku would be so much more enjoyable with subtitles. I get wanting to keep it authentic, but I just had a hard time dancing through all of it and getting excited. As for Starlight, I loved the techno stuff, but girlfriend needs to add excitement to the place. If I go again, which I probably will, I plan to sit during the openers.
