i'll agree those two do aswell even though i love Donatella, its certainly not the most well done song, i wonder how i would feel about MJH if it was placed differently on the album, maybe its just the way its tracklisted that makes me forget about it.

I guess it all depends on what's the sound you like the most. ARTPOP is very diverse when it comes to that. MJH is a passive-aggresive song (slow and low singing over a very loud beat) and doesn't seem to have a clear beat to be instantly recognizable, so maybe it's that.

But yes I agree that the tracklisting could be better and DO more justice to this gem.

i havent actually haha! but i feel a strong connection to Dope so.. maybe i just haven't heard it in the right context, like i havent heard it out or at a party or anything

Oh haha, well maybe it's that then. I know what u mean but Dope is more obvious, in terms that you know how Dope is addictive (here goes alcohol too). Like, we know she was addicted, and she sings she needs someone more than dope, that means the person is really really important. IMO more obvious even if u haven't tried dope :P

I don't smoke anymore tho'... I just enjoy the song everytime :D I just imagine GaGas hair while she smokes and sings "My brunette starts to sprooouuut!" and I see hair blond her going brown, with her weed costume x.X so funny.

Gaga is Life

I love it although I think the 'Mary! Jane! Holland!' part is a bit overused :spin:

you're all so nuts if you think the QUEEN MJH is a FILLER.

FILLERS don't have the amazing production of MJH, and you all will deal

it is technically filler - the only reason it's on the album is because Brooklyn Nights wasn't ready to be put out at that point.

Its one of the best songs she's ever made

Born This Way > Joanne > The Fame Monster > The Fame > ARTPOP

The instrumental is flawless and the beginning is great, but that HORRENDOUS bridge ("My mom and dad think I'm a mess..") destroys the song.

So cringeworthy.

thats my fave part :P, she sounds like a high

teenager that snuck onto a Broadway stage at night to sing that part, THE THEATRICS OF IT :gaga:

just because it was fighting against brooklyn nights for the spot doesn't exactly mean it's a filler

my guess is she was deciding which one was more ready for ARTPOP rather than act II, MJH is more of what i expect act II to be like.

It's extremely overrated. I really don't think it's the "highlight of the album," but everyone is entitled to their opinions, I suppose.

I think the chorus is a highlight of the album... it's so smooth and makes me wanna grind tbh.

Absolutely is an album highlight. Nothing is catchier

MJH slays  tbh, but I can see why it might seem filler-esque.  I'm not sure why, but it does kinda for whatever reason.

FOR ONE: it technically has the same melody as Applause, if no one ever heard this lol  sorry to ruin in for anyone.

'I think that I could be fine'

'Give me that thing that I love'

LOL

ON THE OTHER HAND: I appreciated it more after she explained it.  Some people don't understand the blonde references and the brunette sprouting.  Because it was written about when she died her hair brown in Holland and enjoyed herself while flying under the radar and being called Mary Jane Holland by her friends. lol
