Ronk 14,762
Tbh dha Gagz has become a product of her environment and since her contemporaries are mediocre and best, she feel herself has lowered her standards... Perhaps Interesting thought. I look at things differently, though. I think Gaga has kept her standards high and has not buckled under the pressure to be more like those who are selling better at the moment. As far as the dancing goes, I think if it's less strenuous now it's because she is trying to avoid re-injury or may still be feeling the effects of the old injury. People who have been to a show have been saying her dancing is very good. Personally, I wish Gaga would take it very easy with the dancing and leave it for her dancers. I never want to see her get injured again, or even risk it. I worry because Gaga is such a hard worker and might overdo. She's got a tremendous show with everything else; the music, the singing, the costumes, the staging, the theatrics ... all to her design or concept. I live outside the space time continuum. Kayla 7,595
I'm not judging character I am judging performance. Mind you, I am a fan of all these girls, and have attended multiple Britney and Gaga shows. My opinion is not uncalled for, that is rude of you to try to invalidate my opinion by saying it is unnecessary. Since we are talking about a pop performer in Gaga it is very fair to bring up people who do the same thing she does. Is it fair to compare athletes in sports? Then why shouldn't it be okay to compare musicians who perform in basically the same way? Lets stop being so sensitive for the sake of being sensitive. I've paid money to all these people for the services they provide so I am well aware of the product they deliver. If you go to a Britney show expect her to put little to a half assed amount of effort into her dancing and zero effort into live singing. If you go to a Gaga show expect to her to see her dancing so hard she may break a hip and expect her to blow you away with her live vocal ability. The topic of the thread is "is Gaga lazy on tour?". I'm saying no, here's your reference for lazy on tour. It's a very valid opinion that many people agree with. Sorry you see it as "shade". I don't even use that term, because I'm not in high school, and none of the pop stars give a **** in real life about what I say on an internet forum, so its impossible to "shade" them anyway. Thanks for explaining your message more. You might not be a high school student interested in "shading" other artists, but there are people on here who take any opportunity they can to diss on other artists, which is why people gave the reaction they did to your post about Britney. What you said as a reference is what other people say as a way to unnecessarily bash when they get the chance to.
Homogenik 5
I think it's more a question of choreography (meaning, who the choreographer is) than laziness. Frankly I would prefer if her show was less dance-intensive and she had more "room" to just move like she wants to, to the music, and focus more on the music that way. I don't think it's ever a question of laziness. Besides, she doesn't have to be the best dancer in the world to make a fun show.
sursumd 44
Laziness is a character trait. Not dancing as hard as some might wish is not a character trait, and there are factors involved that have nothing to do with laziness. People know that Gaga works so hard and puts her all into her performances. This thread is based on a shade on Gaga's character. I don't know Britney's situation, but you could have said that she isn't dancing as hard as you would like her to, instead of calling her lazy. I do not attend a Gaga concert expecting "to see her dancing so hard she may break a hip", as you put it. Wtf is that? You can be lazy in a particular activity without being a lazy person. Gaga literally broke her hip on her last tour and cancelled the remaining dates.....

For the record, I love Britney Spears as a person and can't wait to see her in Vegas. I am a huge fan of hers, in spite of my views on her shortcomings. Allison M 357
Not @ some of you questioning Gaga's genuineness, authenticity and passion for her work. Do you even know this woman? Gaga gives 120% every night of the show. She may be getting sore at this point, but she is getting a break from the show very soon and we'll ready up for the second half. I'm glad they are taking precautions. I care much more for her wellbeing than her choreography.

Gaga literally broke her hip on her last tour and cancelled the remaining dates..... Perhaps you can be lazy in a particular activity without being a lazy person. If we just talk about the dancing, obviously Gaga broke her hip and needs to make sure she does not re-injure it. In reference to the OP, any caution in Gaga's dancing is smart, not lazy. My statement "Wtf is that?" was a complaint that the reference in your statement horrified me "If you go to a Gaga show expect to her to see her dancing so hard she may break a hip". And the thought that she may push herself hard enough to risk re-injury horrifies me even more. It's just me being super sensitive to such an awful event. The injury gave us one of those glimpses into who Gaga is as a person. Much later we found out why she kept going while she was hurting, and why she was so silent for so long after the injury. She kept going because she didn't want to let her fans down. She was silent because she was embarrassed about not being able to finish the tour. She was emotionally devastated that she could not continue to perform for her fans. Others may have been concerned about the money, but Gaga was concerned about the happiness of her fans. While Gaga was going through surgery and recovering in a hospital bed and wheelchair in all that pain, she was thinking of her fans and how she felt she had let them down. This is one of the many glimpses we get into Gaga's heart. People who only focus on the music and the entertainment never get these glimpses and never see the person who would do anything for her fans ... anything. And they dare to call her "lazy". blacklistedd 599
not valid. her VMA applause performance was flawless and so were other TV performance after her surgery. she's just not dancing on tour Heres what I think, the hip is not the reason her dancing is the way it is right now. It healed, im sure it does attribute some but overall I don't think you can blame the hip. Yes her VMA performance choreo was nice, it wasn't like it was perfect though, but what was her body like at that time? She was a little thinner and just a little more toned. But now she has a little more weight on her and during the BTWB she had some weight on her too. I think when shes thinner and more physically fit she executes her choreo better. Proof being the best dancers have great bodies.

I don't think Gaga is lazy like OP says, she's working to the best of her ability every show You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you. gagavsartpop 0
Are you a new fan? Did you not know she broke her hip last year? I hate people like you Also you are annoying please shut up and go rot

It healed, im sure it does attribute some but overall I don't think you can blame the hip. Even if her hip is completely healed and there is no residual pain from time to time, there is a reason it broke in the first place. Gaga was dancing beyond what her hip could endure. If she danced that strenuously again, the same results could happen again. It would make no sense at all for Gaga not to tone down her dancing somewhat. I live outside the space time continuum. Mills 446
I wouldn't refer what I'm seeing on the videos so far from artRave to being "lazy", but rather perhaps a reduction of her eagerness to dance like she used to be, prior to her hip injury. Let's put it this way, this is her 4th consecutive world tour in a span of 6 years. Now, if you consider that with the fact that she came after an injury that caused the cancellation of the remaining last dates of her previous tour, I wouldn't just merely second-guess someone to be "lazy". If she's anywhere near "lazy" with her choreography, then she wouldn't dance all night at all for safety precautions. But of course, that isn't the case, is it? Gaga's still giving one hell of a show. She sings. And she still dances, maybe not as good as before, but still dances for the enjoyment of the crowd.
