Second is the same thing as the first, but also filtering out the instrumental, leaving only the lead vocals and some synths... Audio 1: G.U.Y. Well, I guess I should reveal the secret of this filter, which lies in the official acapella that is now going around (and has been for a little while now): I noticed that when I tried to invert it against the song itself, most of the vocals were (nearly completely) removed, but some of the vocals (i.e. some of the BACK vocals) remained (remember the filter that Ricky (one of GGD's audio mixers) made?), but sounded like there were two copies of them going. What I figured was this: this "official acapella" vocal mix is a mix of the backing and lead vocals that, while accurate for general remixing purposes, is not sample-by-sample aligned to *exactly* mimic the original mix (i.e. album version of G.U.Y.) for both back and lead vocals. The two are not mixed together exactly as they were in the original mix. So, I figured I'd take a look at the vocals that couldn't be removed by inverting the acapella at first, and after some experimentation, I found the alignment necessary to filter out the BACK vocals instead of the LEAD vocals. Thus, I was able to create a pseudo-lead-vocals-only version. As for the instrumental filters, this is something that has already been done before. The only difference here is that I did it against the result of the filtering I just described. You can thank the official acapella for not being mixed exactly the same as the original mix for this. If this were not the case, then this filter would not have been possible. I decided to simply publish the unpolished filter itself as opposed to "cleaning up" some stuff to possibly make it sound nicer, so that everyone can see exactly what I mean.
