Free albums don't count towards charts, do they?  Is this what Gaga wanted to do with ARTPOP was too "give music away" if she could (or was that her former manager that said that)? Â Unless they do a similar thing like the Amazon deal where the digital retailer picks up the tab for whatever amount of downloads were made, these kinda deals are unprecedented though so who really knows.
