Habitué du Festival de Jazz de Montréal, Tony Bennett se produira à la Place des Arts le 1er juillet, tandis que Lady Gaga sera au Centre Bell le lendemain 2 juillet. Mis au courant de cette opportunité par Le Journal, Bennett n’a pas écarté l’idée de faire une apparition au Centre Bell. «Oh c’est bien! Je ne savais pas, s’est-il exclamé avec enthousiasme. Nous verrons une fois sur place si on peut faire quelque chose, mais ce serait bien. J’aimerais ça», a-t-il dit. Il y a trois ans, Tony Bennett et Lady Gaga ont enregistré ensemble la chanson The Lady is a Tramp pour l’album Duets II. I was thinking the same exact thing, but if they are in the same city and she just showed up later in the concert for a song and maybe a medley of a couple of songs, that's nothing. That's just like rehearsal to her, warming up her voice. I think it would be great if she could do it. It would never be more than one or two at the most, because Tony has a set time he is on stage at a festival and he has his setlist. So he wouldn't veer too much off of it.
