now that I like them, I really want them to tour somewhat near me.

biggest local arena is about 10K, and there a couple other local venues that hold a few thousand - is that too small for them?

Where do you live? Looks like you're up in the northeast... Not sure if they'll be near you though, you might have to travel a little bit.

yep. can't really travel to shows since I'm broke, so I was really hoping for something local.

Looks like tour is cancelled..

Dr. Funkenberry  OK No Doubt fans, we have some bad news…and we have some good news. The bad news mixes in with the good news. No Doubt has decided there will be no tour in 2013.

Our source states that the band took a vote very recently and decided to stay in the studio working on a new album instead of touring behind “Push & Shoveâ€â€¦.

We hear the writing and recording is going much smoother for them than on “Push & Shove†where it seemed like it took forever to find a groove. They do not want to mess with the cohesiveness that is taking place in the studio by doing a tour this year.

Earlier this month, a phantom date for a show by No Doubt showed up on LiveNation.com for Phoenix. Phoenix is a city that Live Nation uses as testers and does not usually mean a show is taking place there. It happens more frequently than you think.

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from the studio in Los Angeles...Yes, that's right, the studio!

While we were traveling the world last year promoting Push And Shove, Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music. In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.

We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible - both recorded and live on tour.

As always, thank you all for your kind words, incredible support and patience. We promise to keep you updated with photos and videos from the studio, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates. We will see you soon!

Love,

Gwen, Tony, Tom, Adrian

I'm not even mad. They want to create an album they actually want to promote.

It looks like they want to sweep P&S under the rug

Yay for more music! :) I liked P&S but it wasn't amazing. My fave album is actually RockSteady lmao. So flawless.

It's kinda like the Return of Saturn era into Rock Steady except the music won't be nearly as good... and there's no tour.

Ugh. I'm so glad I saw them in 2009, otherwise I'd be crying right now.

yeah, maybe they don't just want to tour with all their old hits

They did that a few years ago.

Its not a "terrible" album by any means. Its not what most fans were expecting, so it kind of pissed in our corn flakes.

There's respect and almost "like" the thing for me. I'm just not into pop normally, but it seems like they made a indie pop, that oozes a 80s feel.

It didn't even sound "indie" to me. Push & Shove was basically just chock full of beige new waveish songs that were practically indistinguishable from one another. Its like the album was just variations of "Early Winter" and "The Real Thing" from Gwen's solo albums but with a band.

No Doubt has never made an album that is "great" but they ALWAYS have at least 2 GREAT songs in each album. And they are always spot on with the singles. Their album 1992-2003 The Singles has all their best songs in it.

Push and Shove should have been the lead single.

Looking Hot should have been the second single.

Settle Down should have been the third/final single.

and One More Summer should have been the final single.

I don't care what the GP is buying right now. Those four songs are just as great as their past work.

I thought that Sparkle was the only song off the new album that matched their past work. Push and Shove (the song) was pretty good. Settle Down was whatevs. Everything else just blended into the walls for me.

Kinda disappointing, thought I might finally get to see them if they toured this year!

But hey, new music is awesome.
