ChicaSkas 22,292
Rock Against Bush Volume 2 was one of my first CDs, a compilation that included No Doubt's "Comforting Lie". Got The Singles 1992-2003 much later and then somebody bombards me with as much Gwen-related audio as humanly possible :haha: yessir, that would be ME! And you're gonna love my 11 volume bootlegs set, I'm adding it to the drive  Believe it or not, I was a hardcore member of the No Doubt Community since 2001 (username: SkaLion67) but lost all of my poetry, my Ten Commandments of No Doubt, and other awesome posts when they switched servers in 2005..... :( It's a low-trafficked site, but in 2009-2010 when I discovered Gaga and started posting more about her than ND, I began to realize maybe I needed to migrate else where :haha: And look where i wound up :) Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? ChicaSkas 22,292
Both were my OBSESSION before Gaga and now currently Madonna. All of they're albums are great but it's obvious which ones are they're best. Tragic Kingdom was my first album. I got it when I was 5. Changed my life. Oh my god. I was SOOO obsessed between 1999--2008. I agree and instantly relate to everything you just said, except I got the album at about 9-10 years old, and it wasn't my first (The Lion King Soundtrack was!) but yes, this band absolutely handsdown changed my life as much as Gaga has. I saw them for the first time in August 2009 at the HUGE Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine, California. They had 4 shows, back-to-back, Thursday-Sunday SOLD COMPLETELY OUT. I made it on Friday. It was so damn good, after so many years of being an obsessed No Doubter, to see them perfectly in sync live in front of my eyes. Favorite song of all time: Sunday Morning (KILLER drum opening by Adrian!) and favorite unreleased demos: "Everything's Wrong" and "Get A Life (You Owe Me)" Gwen is the s-xiest, most attractive, and most physically alluring woman I have ever seen in my life. Especially at her prime, age 26-35 or so. Her jawline is just drop dead flawless. Ever seen Live In The Tragic Kingdom on DVD, circa 1997? oh my god. If I could have been just like Gwen, growing up, I would have, her songwriting and wonderful perfect chemistry with the boys of No Doubt and her bouncy liberated confidence and enthusiam was a huge personal inspiration to me. She personified the Girl Power Movement of the Nineties. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. JeVeuxTonAmour 6
Ugh, I just cannot get over how flawless Gwen is. I try not to think about their new album too much, because I want it sooo badly. And the more I think about it, the longer the wait seems to last. KingAlanI 3
Chica, do you already have the Greenerpastures.us stuff andrew refers to. the outro of Yummy has been responsible for approximately 43 orgasms, 78 climaxes, and 64.5 pregnancies in the Midwestern United States. true story. what about the panting in Hella Good? :naughty: As for Yummy, reminded of the "Back before Gwen Stefani started rapping with Pharell" line from 'This Gigantic Robot Kills', MC Lars' ode to 3rd-wave ska Edited November 18, 2011 by KingAlanI

KingAlanI 3
Gwen, probably the only person who has had a successful career in both third-wave ska and dance-pop. I recognize and love that because of my own all-over-the-place tastes

KingAlanI 3
IMHO, a lot of the best stuff really did make it on to The Singles 1992-2003 Gwen seems quite enthusiastic in that clip. Chica, since you already have or will sent me that stuff, I don't need to download it, right? (Unlike you, I want to keep my audio habit under control. :P) Chica, didn't you say that "Snakes" would have been a better fit than "Comforting Lie" for something called "Rock Against Bush Vol. 2"?
