Klou 2,414
Attend the show first before making all those assumptions. Watching videos doesn't even give a sliver of how a concert is in person.
hmm 979
No. You are wrong. The outfits are fun. The music on ARTPOP suits rave. It's not cheap at all. The only thing your stupid thread got right is that you are pressed. The tour just started and you already giving it ****. **** that. Goodbye to you with all your dumbness and cruelty. Well, it's great to see that we're all so open to alternate points of view
Weasel 12,525
The show seems pretty entertaining to me judging by YT videos, it just looks a little cheap to me. There wasn't any moment that I was wowed by.

blacklistedd 599
do you guys feel the same way? Nothing for me can ever beat when she sang edge of glory at the top tower or when she sang Bloody Mary, etc. I really don't like this whole 'Rave' thing either... mostly because the music on ARTPOP is hardly rave music.. Hardly anything other than cheap 2011 edm tbh. omg....i really hate this criticism because her music sounds nothing like 2011 edm. Thats such a blatantly lazy statement thats made by people that have heard other people say edm is passe or whatever as if calvin harris and ellie goulding arent at the top of the charts. ANYWAY, 2011 edm is like david guetta ibiza pound the alarm ****. Do you hear anything on this record that sounds like party rock anthem, hold it against me, or pound the alarm? No. There is nothing on this album that sounds even remotely ibiza. On this record Gaga still holds true to her 80s synthpop aesthetic but the only difference is that she brought Zedd and Madeon along and added some contemporary edm flavor. Theres nothing about this album that says outdated musically but the only thing i will say negatively about this album is that it doesn't feel fresh. But just because it doesn't feel fresh doesn't mean its outdated, its just too current. That being said, I hated her rendition of The Edge of Glory at the BTWB. It was overly drawn out and melodramatic and boring worst of all. I saw the BTWB twice and had a great time but this forum needs to stop romanticizing it as if it were one of her best tours or something it did not compare to the Monster Ball and this tour seems like an improvement because (A) there is no giant set piece limiting views for the audience and overwhelming her and (B) the costumes aren't as ugly imo. The BTWB had some ugly ass Versace costumes especially the washed-up-Elvis ensemble she'd wear during Hair. Seriously enough with these threads though, you were all talking mad **** on the BTWB in this same exact way 2 years ago and now all of a sudden you all think its ****ing dope. Whenever Gaga does something 50% of her fans have to immediately talk **** about it and oppose it because they think thats what everyone else is going to do and they dont want to seem out of the loop but in all honesty I think this fanbase has some of the most spineless and annoying people. At least other fanbases don't constantly try to **** on their own favorite solely for the sake of ****ting on her.
juicyjuicy 1,985
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING. People who are bashing others for voicing their opinion for artRAVE - it's okay for us to have an opinion too!

Flawless 2,234
i don't think so. Gaga put a party, a fun concert to go and chill with your friends. I'm really loving. is colorful, it's bright, is clean and soft to me. Flawless tbh. sorry for you :( the scars on my mind are on replay.
blacklistedd 599
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING. People who are bashing others for voicing their opinion for artRAVE - it's okay for us to have an opinion too! And I hate how anytime anyone defends her the opposer immediately has to pull the "I have a right to my opinion" card. Its not about you having a right to your opinion it just gets to a point where its bashing and second of all sometimes some of the "opinions" made hold no logical ground yet they adamantly insist on opposing something just for the sake of opposing it. And then get arrogant about holding that opinion because they don't want to come off delusional.
Sakrai 4,759
I really really feel like this is a better concert than the BTWB. Its obviously much more focused. I agree that the setlist could be better because gaga has sooo many amazing songs, but setlists can change from one night to another, specially for gaga who has musicians on stage (and being a musician herself she can even do impromptu songs). But overall you can tell there's no need to find a storyline. It's all fun, it's all having a good time. And gaga knows how to motivate the crowd, so she left the pseudo-storylines (which were quite confusing in BTWB) and replaced it with incredible energy and state of the art lighting and props. It's a light, fun show. And you can immediately tell. Im glad she allowed herself to do this kind of thing. I feel like she needs it. Oh, I'm just visiting-
jxckk 959
Stage and lighting is cool, her energy is great, which is enough for me to go and see her. however, the setlist and those outfits and no real gaga shock/weird moment during the show is just very.... Allison M 357
i think a few songs are (Swine, MJH) but the show as a whole The energy is amazing. the runways and lights are amazing, I like most of the outfits(not really the black latex with green wig), Gaga's voice is amazing, etc. I'm super excited. I love Gaga so much and want to see her and support her. edit: keep in mind, she said that the show will change and evolve as it goes. Outfits might change, and she said she will add more songs. It's just the beginning and it's a really great start.
