I also don't think this is anything like the Madonna/Gaga situation - people attacked Gaga for being inspired by a certain type of sound from the 80's, Katy/Katy's team repeatedly rip off Gaga ideas all the time, quite blatantly so. Yes Gaga asks us to promote online kindness but she also emphasises standing up for yourself. I don't think it was unkind or unnecessary especially as Katy apparently has had no problem shade tweeting Gaga in the past (the Alejandro/religious imagery tweet). Still I like the fact that Gaga called her out, it's obvious Katy is copying her... not that it's wrong, Gaga has done the same several times with other artists and she's well-known for it by the media and GP.
