NOTHING about the set list surprises or upsets me, because I'm mature and don't expect everything to be perfect.

The set list is legitimately perfect the way it is and completely fits the rave atmosphere. TEOG, no matter how many people find it their favorite, would not work. The only two I could see are Scheisse and Judas, and I was fine with them not being there, this tour isn't for them. Also MJH looks a lot better live, and I don't really remember any AP songs really being shortened. The show was already approaching the 2 hour mark when it ended, you can't complain about wanting her to add but not shorten at the same time at that point.

Didn't read any of this thread, but I kinda agree. I'm fine with the setlist except for two songs. Aura and Applause. Applause should have been placed AFTER Gypsy and Aura should have been BEFORE ARTPOP.

 

It seems like a missed opportunity. Literally everyone who goes should know Applause. Why not end the night with A-R-T-P-O-P?

I agree, I try really hard to not be "that stan" who is always complaining and saying "well she should have done it this way instead," etc. But I feel a lot less disappointed about being unable to attend artRave after seeing it. I understand that this is a smaller-scale production because of her injury last year, tons of staff changes, etc, and I'm hoping her next era will run smoother and that will result in a more spectacular show. She's still leagues above everyone else though.

 

I cringe so hard and want to barf a little every time gurl picks up a guitar. Like, no, honey, put it down, you have many MANY incredible talents but guitar isn't one of them. WHERE THE EFF IS HER PIANO??? How can she have a tour without a piano just just... :c She really nails the drums during Swine though! But she really can't play guitar.

 

Was also really underwhelmed by Swine!! It's been the centerpiece of her performances at SXSW and SwineFest so I was expecting something extravagant, especially when I saw from the setlist that it's one of the last performances.

 

Also, she sang Cake, which is a massive cringe in and of itself, but the fact that she forewent Dope for Cake.... And Jewels n Drugs without the rappers is just PARTYNAUSEOUS  made up for that though.

A lot of your info is wrong. She has the piano and plays it several times. From what I can tell sh never plays the guitar but more uses it as a prop ( but I could be very wrong at that one point) I don't remember her doing drums during Swine. She sings like 1 minute of cake as a segue, Dope would not fit this tour. She never really does JND, she just lets the track play during a crazy interlude while she changes and it does play the rapper parts.

Closing this thread for being "AP".

We've had too many threads with people who are upset because some one fav song(s) of theirs didn't get played.  That's the nature of every show of every artist who has more than a few good songs. 

 

I appreciate how frustrating that is when you want to hear a certain song, and I empathise.  But it's not something we can really complain about because everyone is going to disagree...angrily...and there's no list of 20+ songs that will make everyone happy, and this only causes fights.
