hughdancy 282
I like the setlist, we should all get over the BTW era. I just don't like the idea of some songs being shortened and Swine being the last song prior to the encore is also a mess. But other than that, I'm very pleased with the songs selection! Why should we "all get over the BTW era" but still have her perform THREE TFM singles and THREE TF singles?
Michael 533
I'm not mad, I am frustrated. Countless people have come here and dismissed my opinion as just furthering negativity. I went to the concert. I paid for my ticket. I was unsatisfied with this aspect and have every right to express that. I'm trying to be constructive and some people are too blind to see that. If you have nothing of value to contribute than you might as well not comment. It's just a tad hypocritical for you to preach about being able to express your opinions, and yet according to you I'm not allowed to do the same. In my opinion, you are just furthering negativity. I mean, what do you expect to happen from this? Gaga will read GGD and change the setlist? Yeah, you paid for your ticket so you are allowed an opinion. I paid for my internet connection, and this is an online forum where I can post wherever I want. So thanks but no thanks.
Psychedelic 1,098
Why should we "all get over the BTW era" but still have her perform THREE TFM singles and THREE TF singles? Simply because all TF and TFM singles were way more succesful than any BTW single except for BTW!
aquaprincess 23
having not gone yet, i will say i am surprised, and a little disappointed not gonna lie, that i wont get to to hear judas or TEOG, or even you and i, and hardly the other BTW songs. i also didnt get to see BTWB because it was cancelled before it got to my city. having said that, just going off of the pictures ive seen from the artRave so far, it looks like it'll still be amazing even without those songs, to me anyway.and i know its a new album, new tour so she cant perform every song. boniva4lyfe 0
Yes, I am being "real". I have explained myself so many times in this thread that I'm not going to bother repeating it for you. Before you run your mouth you should go back and read my posts to understand my reasoning. Obviously this is not a Born This Way concert; I was not asking for, nor expecting that. I was expecting her to give it fair representation at the concert similar to how she treated The Fame and The Fame Monster. If it makes you feel better, I'm sorry you came back as well if that's all you have to contribute. I only read your initial post (you edited it, so I assumed all that needed to be said was there, and it's not worth reading through 8 pages lol) but your disappointment seems to come from not getting what you expected. Going to a concert isn't like ordering a pizza - you don't get to pick and choose exactly what you get. I'm sorry that you didn't get exactly what you wanted, but I think I'm more sorry that your expectations kept you from enjoying what was (likely) a pretty great show, in and of itself, without your preconceived demands. I was b---hier than necessary in my commentary, so for that I apologize. But with the inflammatory headline "the setlist was awful" and saying that not playing a song you like is "inexcusable" (i mean...come on, that's one of the most overblown statements I've read here, and GGD kind of specializes in overblown statements) surely you had to expect some heat coming your way. Anyways, I apologize for being rude. My comments about GGD in general come from the frustration I feel with fans who impose incredibly specific and enormous expectations on Gaga and then vent on here about her failing/flopping/not living up to their random demands. In a lot of these cases, Gaga didn't fail - their expectations just got in the way of their experience.
Mike Monster 0
I really enjoyed reading your opinion and I agree she practically paid dust to BTW and she should have kept every song from ARTPOP full length.

You comparing me paying for a ticket to you paying for internet is seriously reaching. Regardless, my intention is two fold: If enough people are dissatisfied and word gets back to her/the Haus she can adjust for future tours and I wanted to see if I was the only one who felt this way. My tour date has passed. Whether or not she changes the setlist for artRAVE does not affect me at this point. And of course you are entitled to your opinion, however you didn't have much of an opinion. All you did was disregard my opinion as nonsense. You failed to comment on your opinion of the setlist. To be frank, your opinion of my opinion is irrelevant. I have supported my opinion well and you can choose to disagree with it, but I have more than proved my point. So you can take your attitude and sassy gifs away because I am done arguing with you over this. Have a nice day. In a lot of these cases, Gaga didn't fail - their expectations just got in the way of their experience. I understand that, it's just hard going into something with low expectations, especially when GaGa has always exceeded my expectations. I did very much enjoy the show, this was just the big sour note of the evening if you will. My headline was not intended to be inflammatory, it's just how I felt. Additionally, my word choice my have been slightly strong, but I was both shocked and disappointed by the ratio of Born This Way songs vs the first two records, especially given the cancelled tour dates. I fully accept your apology and hope you have an amazing time if you are attending artRAVE. :) I really enjoyed reading your opinion and I agree she practically paid dust to BTW and she should have kept every song from ARTPOP full length. Thanks, I'm happy I'm not the only one that feels this way! If I had known the setlist before the show, it would have been easier to gear my expectations and I probably would have been less disappointed. But like I said, I guess that's to be expected when attending the first date of a tour.

Shadow 6,477
What would be a better set list in your "superior wisdom?" melodichard 3,757
This thread is such a mess. How are you guys even trying to justify the fact that TEOG isn't in the setlist. That's like a crime against every concert attendee tbh And BTW acoustic version?
LAS22 56
I didn't read this. You are so ignorant. I actually feel sorry for you. You must have a sad life. Bye now. What would be a better set list in your "superior wisdom?" Please, do tell. In my opinion, a better setlist would include: not shortening new songs if at all possible, more than 1 out of 17 Born This Ways being performed, and simply switching Applause and Swine in the setlist. I think The Edge of Glory could have easily replaced Alejandro (it was just as popular if not more so) and she could have easily performed You and I along with Born This Way on the piano. And that would be a much rounded out setlist that gives each album their proper respect, with the emphasis still on ARTPOP. Having said that, if you are attempting to be condescending by putting "superior wisdom" in quotes, then that is not cute nor appreciated.

LAS22 56
Yes I have a sad life. I'm the one who's been rambling on for 9 pages about something nobody cares about. Bye now. Yet you still keep coming for me and failing. If no one cared, there would not be nine pages of posts nor would there be people agreeing with me. See how that works? But anyway, keep trying I find your pathetic attempts amusing. Although that gif is getting tired, babe.
Darcklighter22 2,299
She can't please everyone all the time tho. For the cancelled dates well it was due to injury, and it might sound blunt but you should be grateful she performed there all together there are other countries where she can't go to and perform. She advertised the tour for quite some time now as being a Rave esk type show hence why it's also in the name so of course the tracks will be arranged accordingly to be more upbeat instead of ballads. There as some songs that are shortened yes but quite frankly it's better than having them not performed at all!
