LAS22 60 Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 I have been a fan since before The Fame came out, and I almost never complain about anything GaGa-related, but I personally think the artRAVE setlist is a mess. I went to the Fort Lauderdale show on Sunday and while I enjoyed the show, there were several things I was not fond of. Her representation of Born This Way is pathetic. She performed the title track acoustically and NOTHING else. This is disappointing in and of itself, but given the fact that all of Florida's BTWB dates were cancelled, you'd think she'd incorporate SOME of the tracks into this tour. Not performing The Edge of Glory is just inexcusable. On top of that, who's idea was it to perform Applause before Swine? It just makes absolutely no sense. Yet she still performed Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone, and Alejandro while shortening new songs like Mary Jane Holland and Swine? Very, very disappointing. Also, the stage design totally caters to one side of the stage, but whatever. However, she looked amazing, she sounded amazing, and she seemed very happy which was great. Edit: Clearly many people have misunderstood my post. I have explained myself in detail throughout this thread. I truly hope everyone has an incredible time at the show, I was just expressing my disappointment with my experience. I just don't like the idea of some songs being shortened and Swine being the last song prior to the encore is also a mess. But other than that, I'm very pleased with the songs selection! I've been busy the past few days and wanted to express my opinion. You can leave now. She didn't have nearly as much rehearsal time as she did for the BTWB. She had 4 months for the BTWB, while she had ~1 month for the artRave. I think she needed to get the feel of the show in Florida and tonight she might make the songs their full lengths and add TEOG and possibly Brooklyn Nights.
