I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse" enters at No. 3 with 58,000 sold in the week ending June 1 (according to Nielsen SoundScan). Her last non-holiday studio effort, 2009's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," also debuted at No. 3, but with 168,000. Well, at least is 3 and no 4, like the last rumors say, I think for a very small number of copies. Not bad at all for basically no promo and for being a messy era. I know, but people is more oriented in trashy music, and the promotion of this album was a totally mess. At this point I'm happy that we have it instead of another delay. I was not expecting so low numbers honestly I do, if she barely sold 50k the first week in the USA, outside America people don't even know about this album, only the fans, in my country there isn't any Mariah's song on the radio from MOAIA era (or Christmas songs) for example. The promotion is 0, there isn't a lead single in support, in 2 week it will be completely disappear from the charts at all.. Everybody in her fanbase and I assume also her team expected these results with the disaster of the previous singles and the messy era they only release it because they already made the songs since 2 years...
