Ray of Light 8,134
Forbes stans for her. Let's be real, most other publications wouldn't have put her in the Top 30 atm. And the fact that it's fan voted shows how much we're slacking :wtf:
Mast 980
What an awful list. TIME is losing their credibility lol :rip: You do realize that this is the READER'S poll, right? TIME didn't choose, the people who read TIMES did (or for that matter, crazy stans who don't read TIME).
Mast 980
Beyonce should be higher on the list to be honest. She broke the rules on how to promote/release an album. She arguably made the biggest impact (to the music industry at least) I don't think you can take credit for "breaking the rules" when you weren't the first one to do it to begin with. Juanjo 2,150
Considering how rocky things have been this era, her position in this poll is very good. She's accomplished so much, and she really has influenced the music world greatly. I'm so proud of her.
Mast 980
Just to make it clear, this is not the TIME Most Influential, just a poll.

StrawberryBlond 14,871
Katy's got more crazy fans than I thought, then. For Gaga to still make the top 4 is incredible. We'd probably have got even higher if it wasn't for this stupid new voting system Time have installed that makes you log into FB/Twitter for ever vote and records it on your respective page. Would look totally pathetic to have your voting history splashed all over your account, especially if it's a fan vote, hater vote, fan vote, hater vote, etc. As such, I'm sure most people only voted once, so these results are actually pretty accurate. And I think, once again, this is proof that Miley isn't the supposed it-girl and icon that her fans think she is. If even the biggest year of her life couldn't get her into the top 10, she can't be that much of a hit. And also, pleased to see most people have realised that Lorde is a one hit wonder and voted accordingly. I mean, how she made it onto the list of considerations at all is beyond me. Blurred Lines was a million times bigger than Royals and Robin Thicke wasn't even submitted as an option. If Time really wants to start considering one hit wonders, he should have been there too. I feel like Time should change the name of its list. People vote based on how famous/talented/well liked the person is, not on their influentiality. And Time doesn't help by repeatedly submitting celebrities who are clearly only going to be famous for a year. They may as well just call it "The Most Successful People Of Last Year" list, because that's basically what it is. But, no matter. I'm sure Time's pick will look very different. Katy and Justin will be lucky to get a mention, I'm sure. Crossing my fingers that they don't include Miley. I doubt it, though. Time's readership consists of older, professional, serious types who would rather talk about politics than pop stars. If they called Miley influential, those subscriptions would spiral drastically downward.
Wet Fire 7,517
Sorry but Malala, Lorde and Gaga did a lot more than Riri and JB.
DontDoubtDavid 1,191
This is so stupid. People vote on these polls based on what's popular now. Who's gonna remember Lorde 20 years from (assuming she's a one hit wonder)? She's only been famous for less than a year, she doesn't deserve to be on that list, at least not yet. Gaga has at least revolutionized music and performance art, as well as LGBT. She's someone even legends are praising, and I think she will be considered a legendary artist years from now.
