aaronyoji 2,054
Pop music will never be low brow it already is tho, has been for quite a while. its seriously the lowest common denominator of music. and gaga clearly doesnt feel that sentiment anymore anyways. ryhanna 3,507
Whatever she wants to do is good enough for me. If she feels that she can achieve more without pop weighing her down, then so be it. As long as she's making quality music, I'll be here. What's the point of alienating all your fans that made you happen in the first place? I don't get this. Hypothetically speaking (because obviously I don't know what Gaga's thinking or feeling), if Gaga wanted to branch out and try her hand at rock music, she can't because she'd be "alienating" her fans? So the fans are here for pop music, not Gaga music? And why should she continue to make pop music if, say, she no longer believed in it? Not attacking you, but I've never understood this kind of thought...
MMXIX 51
I didn't even waste time reading the first post and trying to understand your logic. This whole thread is ignorant and negative. She lives and breathes pop culture. Get out
therabmystery 0
I don't think she would be Gaga if she wouldn't be doing a genre that she likes the most Pop is not her favorite genre. Her favorite genres are Rock and Metal.
craig 680
it already is tho, has been for quite a while. its seriously the lowest common denominator of music. and gaga clearly doesnt feel that sentiment anymore anyways. People confuse pop as a gene (that uses synths, has a dance beat, theatrical presentation) wirh popularcommercial music. Hip hop and rock and adult contemporary can be just as formulaic and commercial as any pop.
BuzzcutSeason 3,307
why would she ditch the music that made and makes her successful and popular? and gaga may say she doesn't care for charts, but success is success and you can't strive for perfection without wanting a good single or review.... she doesn't make commercial pop and never really did, and she is proud of being a pop artist....and there are more pluses to keeping pop than leaving it...its also common sense
craig 680
Pop is not her favorite genre. Her favorite genres are Rock and Metal. Yet she choose J-pop and K-pop as her opening act. She loves rock from the era when it was the loudest most popular and theatrical form of music going. It's not that way anymore post-grunge.

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I don't think she would be Gaga if she wouldn't be doing a genre that she likes the most THIS! Gaga likes risque campy glam-electro-pop music. I don't think she would've came into the game not doing the type of music she liked if it wasn't her. Thats really all that needs to be said. If gaga wants to do acoustic music or jazz or anything, ill follow her... but i want her to keep her creative edge that seperates her from the rest. Thats a big part of her appeal other than her personality and music quality. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Gagadisiak 556
tbh I wholeheartedly agree and I think this is the way for the GP to be fans of her again. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO PUT OUT A ROCK ALBUM GOOD GOLLY i think it's gonna happen after interscope . right now she's just need release an album with 3-4 hits (i mean singles ) but i don't think she's can please this fanbase anymore. she's really created monsters. SwagLikeLG 0
I don't want her to drop pop music at all, like I love the piano ballads and songs like that but her doing pop music... i wasn't even about that genre but i got into it because of how much i loved her, i'd never want her to leave it. I'm all for her doing rock/ballad type songs but she loves pop music so much, you can tell, and i want her to love what she's doing. if that means something else in the future, then i'm here, but if she wants to release pop music forever, i wouldn't complain. And she can do pop music while getting married, having kids... (Britney, Beyonce, etc etc) the genre has nothing to do with it so I dont think that really matters
