FGGrayson 9,670
So... she can keep experimenting with electronic, the first Bjรฦยถrk albums were mainstream and then she got more experimental, i wouldn't mind if Gagz do that, she really loves electronic/avant-garde/new wave kind of music ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ โข ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ โข ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ-๐๐น๐น๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ โข ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐๐ผ๐ป

Girrr 1,086
She should do what makes her happy. I'm sure it'd be hard for her to lose a lot of fans, but in the long run, I doubt she'd care for long. I'd be here for it.
Sara 1,128
Pop music will never be low browActually...this is so 100% true. Pop music CAN be anything, even if some artists make their pop music disposable. Ya, if anyone can keep the art and heart of music alive in POP, it's Gaga. I wish her all the luck in the world! LilVenusian 579
I get what you mean, i'm really curious to see what she would come up with if she wasn't restricted to making the usually dancy/poppy songs that most of her fans have come to expect of her now. She always has that glam rock spirit behind her work but sometimes in gets drowned in beats and fancy production. Her piano based songs like Again, Again, Brown Eyes, Fooled Me Again, ย are what really made me fall in love with her as a musician/lyricist and not just a popstar. aaronyoji 2,054
the alternative to pop isnt just ballads and jazz you guys SMDH ย and yes, she should just ditch pop music all together, its holding her back.ย ย see, pop music is like a tank: it can incubate you at first, help you grow, but for those too smart and too strong to stay in the pop tank, they reach their limits and they just need to expand past pop music in order to grow and flourish. thats where gaga is. i feel she's filled up her pop potential a while ago before ARTPOP, and now its time for her to expand.ย ย i'd totally still be here for her making electronica music, but highly evolved, soemthing newer, something that doesnt have the same typical basic ass pop structure with typical 8th grade poetry rhyming scheme.ย

craig 680
She'd gain fans who care about music, and appreciate her as a musician and not just as a flashy entertainer who makes noise in pop culture.ย People who care about more important things than whether she is currently slaying other stan's favs. She could still be Gaga and still be artistic, just do it in a different genre than electro/dance pop, do it old school like Elton, Bowie, Freddy Mercury. ย ย Then she'd go down as a tribute act to 70's rock - nothing new or revolutionary. Those icons made noise in 70's pop culture because they weren't a bunch of Sinatra tribute acts trying to impress adults who loved 40's music. The real Bowie switched between eras that were innovative and others more commercial.ย ย Besides, the hiptser pop haters will never forgive her for once being the biggest thing in pop. Better to just IGNORE the chart obsessed pop stans, it's mostly a gay internet thing.

Toph 375
Would fans REALLY "drop" gaga because she "quits" a genre of music? If so...what a bunch of childish brats.
Sabertooth 2
I would love for her to release an acoustic album, but that's the longest she could stay out of the spotlight. She would lose a lot of her fanbase, if she took year(s) off.

Gaga will always be a pop writer. She is classically trained so i think she will always have that approach to music e.g, always looking for the perfect rhythm, melody and form. Sheรยขรขโยฌรขโยขs always been more MJ/Madonna, than Bjork/Kate Bush and its highly unlikely she'll just transform into that overnight.

If so...what a bunch of childish brats. ย Liking an artist for their MUSIC would seem to be the most reasonable and adult basis. If you don't care whether they do country or ballads or metal, it's a Cult of Personality. ย I could enjoy Gaga doing several genres (including forms of jazz and rock), but not every genre.
