Demi completely missed the point of the performance, but it doesn't bother me too much b/c I think she said it fairly respectfully and she's apparently still a fan, so...

I don't think you should use that insulting .gif. She has every right to voice her opinion, that doesn't mean we have to agree with it.

You will never please everyone.

I didn't really give a **** then and I don't really give a **** now tbqh. It was just a pop star (who I've never much cared for in the first place) voicing her opinion and getting all preachy about a performance that another pop star held. Basic **** like that shouldn't bother anyone.

Dummy Lovato tbh.

You should understand something at least 50% before you comment on it. She understood it -50% and thought that was good enough.

She's just a ***cat like most of the people in the world, including me. But the difference is that I understood the statement behind the performance. There is a strong artistic content.

This. Demi projected her own interpretations onto the work and ran with it. I don't think she meant any harm, but she did taint others opinions on it who may not have actually watched and formed their own thoughts. I can't tell you how many people on FB slammed the performance citing the "promotion of bulimia" after Demi's tweet.

Well, at least she gave her opinion in a really respectful and nice way

This!!!!

Honestly most of you on this thread are the rudest people ever. Of course I'm on Gaga's side but as much as we feel genuinely betrayed when Gaga doesn't release something as promised Demi feels just as betrayed when one of her idols (Gaga) includes a performance which really hits a nerve for her because Demi just like Gaga suffered from an eating disorder so that's how she saw it. And she probably looked up to Gaga after Gaga released BTW as a single. Gaga is an inspiration to many. And just as some of express your opinions which might be considered shade she also has opinions even as a celeb and she wasn't shading Gaga she just felt betrayed and I understand. We can all interperate things differently. From someone who suffers from an eating disorder that performance could be seen as very offensive. Demi loves Gaga and she even tried to justify herself because probably SOME OF YOU were dishing shade to her. It was honestly just an opinion I understand and respect. I saw it as art but I am not closed minded so I can see her point. She is just like us so don't go dishing shade to her.

And by the way she isn't irrelevant. She is an inspiration to many so there's no need to call her irrelevant.

This fanbase is so disappointing sometimes. If we keep this up we'll be considered just as visious as Beliebers and Lana fans (I'm a lana fan so I don't get how we're seen as offensive). Come on guys be nice :noparty:
