I'll say the negative first and then the positive.  I'm harsh but the OP asked for it.

 

Aura 9.7

-Wastes too much time on the intro.  Song is too short overall.  The burqa reference makes me feel weird idk.

+This is the complextro masterpiece.  It's completely awesome and I love it.

 

Venus 6.0
-It's too kitschy and old fashioned.  I prefer the more expensive sounding modern productions.

+The bass beat is pretty awesome the way it hits the speakers.  The theme is iconic.

 

G.U.Y. 8.0
-I don't know how to pronounce the song name.  It's kind of a lame idea.

+The production is awesome.  When the chorus hits I love this song so much.  I remember hearing the snippet and LOVING it.

 

Sexxx Dreams 9.8

-I preferred the swinefest version tbh.

+This song is flawless.  I've always loved it.  Total smash.  Reminds me of Prince songs.

-This song is annoying.

+I like when he says "gaga. gaga. gaga."

 

MANiCURE 7.5

-It's not my type of song.  I like pop not rock.

+It's a really really cool song tho.

-This song represents one massive months-long frustration and I'm taking it out on this rating

+Other than that I would rate this very highly.  It's an amazing song.  The beats are so crisp.

 

ARTPOP 5.0

-This song is really annoying.  "ARTPOP, ARTPOP, ARTPO-O-O-OP" that part makes me cringe.

+I like the mellow vibe, I guess.

 

Swine 8.8
-This song is totally ruined.  I was so excited, the swinefest version was iconic, it was my favorite hands down.  I'm so disappointed.

+It's a really really great song still.  I just wished it had stayed the same.

 

Donatella 6.0
-This song is lame, I don't care about Donatella.

+The production is great and I love her relationship with Donatella.

 

Fashion! 7.0

-We already had a song called Fashion.  Why do you need to sing the word Fashion and call it a song?

+I love when they say "Slay" over and over.  This song grows on you so much and the production is beautiful.

 

Mary Jane Holland 6.0

-It's too long, and I kind of hate it.  The name is a lame joke.

+I like the production.

 

Dope 6.0

-#JusticeforIWBWY.  I'm still mad about that.

+The production surprised by being beautiful.

 

Gypsy 9.3

-It's possibly racist.

+It's one of the best songs on the album.  It's so beautiful and a good song at the same time.

-Too self referential and esoteric.

+It's one of the best songs of all time, who complains about Applause any more?  It's a smash!  It perfectly embodies the theme of the album and yet it's a banger and the hook is delicious!

+ Very experimental; a different sound from her; love the Middle Eastern influence. That chorus. Wow.

- A bit choppy and incoherent from verse to verse.

 

VENUS: 8/10

+ Catchy chorus; love the cheeky and playful lyrics.

- Same as Aura; too choppy and incoherent. Production also seems a little amateur.

 

G.U.Y.: 8.5/10

+ Catchy chorus; experimental; love how "dark" it is and the meaning behind the song.

- Again, too choppy and incoherent between verses; not sure about the ending; lyrics are quite stupid sometimes; her diction in this song is not good either (difficult to make out the lyrics)

 

SEXXX DREAMS: 9.5/10

+ Great production; catchy throughout; single material; love the 80s influence.

- Still prefer the Swinefest version tbh. :(

 

JEWELS N' DRUGS: 7.5/10

+ Love that she's experimented with rap & hip hop; great rap collaboration; catchy as hell production

- Seems too choppy and incoherent between verses; sounds like random rappers adding their verses to the song making it longer and longer than it really should be

 

MANiCURE: 10/10

+ Catchy as hell!; love the rock-inspired sound; that guitar solo at the end though; vocals

- Lyrical content could be a little better, but otherwise, perfect song.

 

DO WHAT U WANT: 10/10

+ Perfect collaboration; so catchy; production is SICK; one of the best Gaga songs ever; all the details are in the right place; love the R&B and island music inspiration; the last verse is EPIC (DWUW with me / WUW with my body, world ... etc); amazing vocals; shows her diversity in genres

- Not a fan of "fade out" endings - ending almost feels incomplete

 

ARTPOP: 8/10

+ Love the production

- Not too sure about the lyrical content; some verses a bit too repetitive; hate the post-chorus verse towards the end (lyrics are a little out of place and nonsensical; vocals sounds strange)

 

SWINE: 8/10
+ Great for clubs and love how hard she goes with the EDM; great melody in the verses; love what this song is about and how swine is a metaphor; that squeal when she says "SWINE!"

- That "build up" is a little too long; Sounded more epic in the Swinefest version

 

DONATELLA: 9/10

+ Love the lyrics!; amazing production; great energy

- Diction could be much better; wtf is she saying sometimes?

 

FASHION!: 8/10

+ Great production; love the French bits; chorus feels a little anti-climatic

- Seems a little out of place with the other songs; not sure if will.i.am is the best person to be featured on this track

 

MARY JANE HOLLAND: 7/10

+ The production by itself is EPIC (and I applaud Madeon for that); that cinematic part towards the end

- Worst diction on the album (when I heard it for the first time, I was so turned off by the fact that I had no idea what she was singing and that the production overpowered her vocals); production overpowers her vocals (sounds noisy)

 

DOPE: 10/10

+ Another great ballad - the only ballad on her album; the lyrics and production execute the "darkness" behind the song so well; love how much this song means to her; those GROWLS giving me life mmmmyes!; that emotion; those vocals much yaasss

- Ending feels a bit incomplete - almost feels like the chorus should repeat once more at the end

 

GYPSY: 7/10

+ Those vocals; that she mentions all those places in the world

- A bit too Disney for me; lyrics could be better; chorus and ending are anti-climatic; wish she had kept the whole thing as a piano ballad; actually dislike the "toniiiiiiiiight" that makes up the bulk of the chorus - too long and boring

 

APPLAUSE: 9/10

+ Very catchy; great production; ending is epic

- Diction can be improved (can't understand the lyrics); lyrics could be improved (they're quite nonsensical IMO "suddenly I'm the Koons and then the Koons is me"...um, isn't that the same thing?)
