Chic 20,830
Then don't enter a thread with his name just to spred negativity. Bye I consider him just a member in the long list of Bond theme singers. I'm commenting on the fact he did the Bond theme, not the fact he did a song in general. I didn't talk about his other music until directly asked my opinion on him. This is a Bond themed/intended song that happens to have been written/sung by Sam Smith, and I'm commenting on it from that perspective.

KaanBTW 5,238
The chorus is amazing. I get some Xtina when he sings the chorus.

This is a Bond themed/intended song that happens to have been written/sung by Sam Smith, and I'm commenting on it from that perspective. I turned it off right after he started squeaking like a mouse that got kicked into a refrigerator The lyrics are moderately atrocious as usual too, unsurprisingly. Why don't you try again next time when you learn that just because your voice can reach the pitch of a teapot doesn't mean it has to on every song Yeah you're right. Nothing personal or anything about his other music Please. you mentioned the production and the rest of the post was pure bashing of Sam
Chic 20,830
Yeah you're right. Nothing personal or anything about his other music Please. you mentioned the production and the rest of the post was pure bashing of Sam I never once used the words personal in describing what I did not say in that post, so no. I didn't discuss his other music, I discussed his voice techniques which I do not like in this song because it is tiring at this point. I like the production and the melodies are decent. At least I didn't totally bash the song.
barnabesk 1,230
Somehow the production does not fit his voice... at least that's my opinion.I love Sam Smith though and the song still is amazing to listen to

Head Empty 24,285
I like the song and I love how his voice sounds with a song like this, but I agree with @Chic that he might be overusing the falsetto's a bit, like many other male vocalists do all the time . What I love about his voice is when he uses the rich, deep undertones rather than squeeking out high notes. Nonetheless I think it's a great Bond tune Happiness will never last, darkness comes to kick your ass... ᵃˢˢ 🕺
