They could easily arrange any tour date for then 2018. Btw it was expected that she would comeback on 2018 for other dates after RIR but now it's all just unlikely. Poor Asia and Oceania then that didn't even get an excuse as "oh but the date was a festival" since they didn't plan anything from the world tour that was North America-Europe-Run.

Also we really don't expect the 2019 thing to be real. She first said no in 2011 because Monster Ball would be over and she didn't want to tour around SA. Almost no way she'll be in tour in second semester 2019.

RIR in 2019 is definitely possible in my opinion. She doesn't need to be in the middle of a tour to get there...

RIR's creator said right after the cancellation that they are definitely in talk for her to headline next festival line in 2019.

Honestly we don't know anything about that residency thing, maybe she has some plans for new music at the same time + making a live dvd for that residency tour. Or even making this an event for the 10th anniversary of her career.. Anyway, I just think she had no plans for JWT in 2018 outside rescheduled dates for Europe. More JWT dates were only rumours spread by 'insider' accounts. Never trust insiders serioulsy, or meltdowns are coming...

Was more likely fans just believing it was possible she would extended the tour, I MEAN, even her debut tour had more places than JWT. And for the fans that really got cancelled it just hurt way more since we won't have the chance anymore. RIR "owner" is also a bit messy so we rather not talk about him nnn

I don't even think the residency is a bad thing, but it's mixed as I said before. But it would be cool a 10 years anniversary thing.

Spoiler

the thing is fearing it will take too goddam long to finish

Why I don't like this idea although the money is great? This article about Eminem's new album, the end of it http://www.showbiz411.com/2017/12/15/eminem-sounds-like-a-guest-artist-on-revival-his-own-soft-boiled-egg-of-an-album

"It’s too bad: a new generation of fans may come to “Revival” because of all those guest stars and not for the real Eminem. They’ll think of him as a talk show host introducing pop star acts. Next stop: Caesar’s Palace."

It's a common sense that when you aren't that successful singer anymore, Vegas is your destination.

I'm here for it, but she is in no way earning $100 Million for only 50 dates. The MGM Park Theater's capacity is 5.200 people and the avarage prices of the tickets should be $385 to earn $2.000.000 per night and that's only her honorary, to have enough money to pay the dancers and the other staff + the props and the fact that Monte Carlo Resort would like to win some(a lot) of $$ too means that every ticket should cost at least $500-550 and that would only have a positive outcome if every from those shows is sold out, but with those prises and in the same city it's very unlikely that to happen. They can't afford paying her that much, but that $100 Million could be true if the deal includes props and they've agreed that Gaga should pay all the staff and dancers herself from what they pay her, in that case it's more possible.

However I'm here for VegasGa, she would do great.

Yeah, but there with minimal effort you earn almost as much as those travelling the left and right 24/7, Britney is in the Top 5 of Billboard's Box Office chart every week she has a Vegas performances and realy often she is above some stadium tour dates.

Remember how Vegas works... the MGM wouldn't be expecting to turn a profit on the show itself.  They are expecting to see an increase in their gambling operations.    MGM would itself be gambling big.. on Gaga.

And to others saying Vegas only brings in "washed up" artists.... don't you think they are trying to change that?  Gaga would be a boost getting an artist at a high point of their popularity.

all the US mosnters are happy about this cuz they get to see her whenever they want, meanwhile we're praying day and night for her to come to our countries :toofunny:

In my case I'm from Mexico, two tours have passed since the last time she came here, honestly the chances she'll come for the next one are really low so she could be stuck on Las Vegas for 1 month or 5 years but still doesn't change the fact she only tours USA/Canada/Europe. A real world tour is not going to happen.

Even if the rumors are true,I don't think she's getting $100M. Adele who is a bigger touring act than Gaga was offered $33M for a year long residency

Britney was also on a high demand when she went in Vegas, just 6 months ago she had one of the biggest hits of 2013 and came from a realy successful era with 4 top 10 hits(one of them being a #1) and a #1 albumselling almost 300k in first week sales(Femme Fatale). Imo Celine started the residency thing in Vegas, but Britney showed that you don't have to be a washed-up artist to go there. Yeah, Britney Jean flopped, but it never got any treatment and the only thing she promoted at the time was Piece of Me, with a prpper promo, few live performances and a World Tour I'm sure Work Bitch would've been a pretty big hit and that BJ could have easily went Platinum in the US and in some other countries.

I realy like the idea, all big stars to have a residency in Vegas(for example a show every month or every 2-3 weeks), so that you can have all your favorite artists with a strict shedule and graphic so that one can plan a visit and watch them live at any time.

In 2-3 years Vegas would be a desired place by most of the big names in the industry, everyone would like to have a residency there, imo. It has already started - Britney, JLO, Backstreat Boys, Ricky Martin, The Chainsmokers, Celine, Bruno Mars, Mariah, Gaga?, etc. More and more household names are announcing residencies in Vegas and that tendency is going to grow.

She can't even earn that much and I don't hing that the profit from the gambling machines and poker players in Monte Carlo's casino would be that high to cover those costs as @giskardsb has suggested. I don't see Gaga doing a 50 show residency for more than $50 Million and even that's an unrealistic number.

Just saw that most of the times these "values" are wrong even when the shows are real. In 2012 there was a rumor of Britney for 100m for 2 years but it was way before it was even confirmed

Boxscore works off aggregate sales figures. Brit's better than stadium numbers are for entire legs. A single date of the JWT has nearly outcharted an entire recent pom leg. Watch your words next time :)

The fact is that if there's another young act with an even better reputation for jaw dropping performances than Britney, it's Lady Gaga, who is in her prime. Brit's deal was inked a few years after hers ended and was for a budget show including recycled props and interludes :)

Again these are facts. Not opinions.
